Da-iCE’s Sota Hanamura Shares Lovey-Dovey Photos at New Home About a Year After Relationship Reveal
On a day in early July, struck by a scorching heat wave with a high of 35°C, a couple appeared at the mechanical parking lot of a luxury apartment in Tokyo. The man in a black hat and glasses is Sota Hanamura (34) from the five-member dance and vocal group Da-iCE.
“Da-iCE, formed in 2011, broke through in 2021. Their song ‘CITRUS,’ the theme song for the drama ‘Gokushufudo’ (NTV), surpassed 100 million streams and the group won the 63rd Japan Record Award at the end of that year. Hanamura, the vocalist and the face of the group, is known for his four-octave high voice. Recently, he has also taken on movie dubbing” (sports newspaper entertainment reporter).
The beautiful woman looking up at the sky next to Hanamura is Ms. A, who was reported to be in a close relationship with Hanamura by “Weekly Josei” last summer. After a while, Hanamura’s SUV appeared in front of them, and the two got in with familiar ease and headed towards the city center.
“According to ‘Weekly Josei,’ Ms. A has been active as a model in gal fashion magazines since around 2012. She also engaged in singing activities. Although she announced her marriage and pregnancy on her blog in 2017, she later divorced. Until last year, she appeared on variety shows as a single mother model. It is said that Hanamura drives her child to and from preschool” (same source).
Even after about a year since the report, the relationship between the two seems to remain steady. A record company staff close to Hanamura reveals:
“Hanamura moved into a luxury apartment around September last year. It seems that a key point in his property search was finding a place where he, Ms. A, and her child could live comfortably together.”
An inquiry was sent to Hanamura’s agency regarding the possibility of marriage with Ms. A, but there was no response by the deadline.
This year, Da-iCE is celebrating their 10th anniversary of their major debut with a live tour, and Hanamura is thriving both professionally and personally. As he sings in “CITRUS,” he continues to forge ahead on the path he believes in.
