Shizuka Kudo’s Kochi Sightseeing Sparks Controversy Over ‘Daimyo Procession’ Disturbance
Shizuka Kudo (54) posted on her Instagram about her sightseeing in Kochi.
Accompanied by the message, a video showcasing the white sneakers purchased locally was posted. Photos of the stalactite cave visited were also uploaded.
“The salted bonito was incredibly delicious, and everyone gave a thumbs up while eating it.”
It seems they also enjoyed local specialties, with photos of what appeared to be salted bonito tataki being shared. The videos taken in the city and at local restaurants included the staff’s laughter, conveying a cheerful atmosphere. However, criticism of Shizuka and her party began to surface online.
“The sycophants around her laugh exaggeratedly at everything the queen says and do their best to amplify her presence. The atmosphere is unsettling. It must be annoying to everyone around because it’s so noisy.”
“They’re always laughing hysterically, but is it really that funny? What kind of mood is this? If it’s like this all the time, it must be annoying to those around them.”
“And for some reason, there’s always this one person with a different level of enthusiasm. They don’t need to force it so much; let’s just be natural.”
Some referred to Kudo walking around with a large entourage as a “daimyo procession,” but an entertainment industry executive laughed it off, saying, “It’s just business as usual.”
“When the post was uploaded, there were praises for the staff’s sharp movements, but there were also comments expressing sympathy for those who had to go along with the queen’s enthusiastic dance.”
While their exuberance might be acceptable in closed spaces like backstage or studios, in local tourist spots, the group’s behavior stood out negatively.
