Riho Yoshioka (31) in a bright green kimono, Anna Ishibashi (32) in a winter coat, and Go Ayano (42) sweating while running – a glimpse into the “professional spirit” of popular actors struggling under the hot sun.
In recent years, Japan has been experiencing sweltering summer heat. Actors take heat-protection measures such as ice packs, handheld fans, and parasols, but they do not seem to feel the heat at all when they are on stage.
For example, Haruka Ayase (39), who was filming a scene in “Mother-in-law and Daughter-in-Law Blues Final” (TBS) in which she falls from a pedestrian bridge, dived onto a cushion placed under the bridge while wearing a black kimono. In pursuit of realism, she did not use any stuntmen, but instead took on the challenge herself for all the takes. He was soaked in sweat from the repeated dives, but at the end, he was smiling as if he was satisfied with his performance.
I admire her professionalism and determination not to be defeated by the heat!
