Another year, another exciting summer in Japan!　Top cosplayer Enako’s “Tips for surviving the heat ♡”.

Enako has won two “Cover Girl Awards” and been appointed as a “Cool Japan PR Ambassador,” and is proud of her success as Japan’s No. 1 cosplayer. With the annual “Summer Cover Jack Campaign” now in full swing, we asked Enako how she spent her summer this year.

—First of all, thank you very much for your hard work on the photo shoot!　First of all, thank you very much for your hard work on the shoot and congratulations on the fourth year of the “Cover Jack Campaign.

I am most surprised at …… that it has lasted this long (laughs). This summer, we will be gracing the covers of 16 magazines. Those who collect entry tickets for 15 of those magazines that are part of the campaign will receive an Enako Summer Booklet 2024!”

—The booklet is a limited edition, available only through this campaign, right?

That’s right. The swimsuit and the theme of the photo shoot were all thought up from scratch, so it’s an original product!

—Enako, did you decide on the theme yourself?

Of course!　Of course!　I can’t stop thinking about it even after the summer is over. It’s a sheer worry, isn’t it? 15 I think it’s harder than I imagine it would be to collect application tickets for 15 magazines, so I’m going to put a lot of energy into thinking about it again this year so that everyone will be glad they collected the tickets.

Enako’s “How to spend a hot summer

—It’s been particularly hot these days, but do you have any plans for the summer?

To be honest, it’s so hot that I don’t want to leave the house. But not moving too much is also not good for keeping in shape, and I don’t want to work out, though. …… So what works just fine for me is walking my dog! My dog really wants to be walked, and he is not satisfied with just walking around the neighborhood (laughs). So I choose a cooler time to take him to a large park and run with him. But on days when it’s too hot to do that, I tend to stay indoors.

—Is there anything you can’t live without when you spend time at home?

Tomato juice!　I’ve always loved tomatoes, but lately I’ve been really into tomato juice. I drink the kind that contains no salt at all, just crushed raw tomatoes, as my breakfast. I love it so much that when I’m feeling thirsty, I’m not sure whether to drink tea or tomato juice. Even when I’m drinking alcohol, I always order tomato juice with it.

—I always order tomato juice when I drink alcohol, too.

Yes, I believe so (laughs). Even though it is juice, it has fewer calories than a sweet shake or soda, and probably better for your health! We’ll see if it helps with summer fatigue. …… I don’t know, but I recommend it to all my fans!”
