Mai Watanabe, aka “Riri-chan,” is a defendant. She cheated men out of over 100 million yen by creating pitiful personal stories (from Watanabe’s SNS).

In May, the defense attorney for Mai Watanabe, 25, an unemployed woman with no fixed address who calls herself “Riri-chan,” appealed to the Nagoya High Court against a 9-year sentence and 8 million yen fine handed down by the Nagoya District Court in the first trial. The modus operandi of this “Riri-chan,” or “girl from the rice paddies,” has also become clear in court.

After graduating from an industrial high school, the author consumed a goofy life in the downtown area of a local city. Looking back on those days, although he was well off, he suffered from the gap between his ideal self and the reality of his life amidst the flimsy glamor, and was lonely and felt inferior. To put it bluntly, he had been “topped” by women to the tune of about 30 million yen, and he bought them a mountain of Hermes, Tiffany’s, and the like. No matter how much he earned and what he gave as gifts, the void in his heart was only momentarily filled.

I spent my days fooling myself with alcohol and sleeping pills. I didn’t care about anything anymore. I wanted to die. As I looked at the hanging rope hanging from it, I realized that I had never tried to do anything right. I realized that I had just been running away. I studied hard, entered medical school, and now work as a psychiatrist in Okayama Prefecture.

The author obtained a copy of the manual in December 2011 after the case of Misora Ieda, a defendant who committed fraud by purchasing the “Riri-chan Manual for Girls” (hereinafter referred to as “the manual”). I analyzed it from the standpoint of a psychiatrist. I could see first hand from my old self and my experience of dealing with patients why “ojis” in a certain fixed category became addicted to Riri-chan.

The characteristics of each of the “taker Ojis,” “matcher Ojis,” and “giver Ojis” as categorized and described in the Manual

The manual classifies men as “taker Jiba,” “matcher Jiba,” and “giver Jiba,” and establishes a method of targeting and attacking men who are easy to exploit.

The “taker Ojiba” is a man who concentrates only on what he wants to do and never thinks about doing anything for the girls.

MATCHER OJI Men who sometimes think about girls, but also think about themselves.

Giver JI who is devoted to the girl he loves.

The “manual” narrows down the targets to “giver JI” and some “matcher JI,” while clearly stating that “taker JI” who prioritize self-interest should “send a line to JI saying ‘die’ and hang up immediately.

The “matcher JI” has about a 50-50 split between self-interest and the interests of others. <The “machar ojis” are those who have half and half self-interest and half interest in other people.

The “giver Jijin,” who prioritizes the interests of others, is described as “a man who will be a match for no man if he obtains this Jijin,” indicating that the biggest target of the “manual” is this “giver Jijin.

This classification method is a technique of organizational psychology. To begin with, organizational psychology is a discipline that has developed to analyze individual and group behavior in order to improve the well-being and performance of the company and its employees. Although it differs from school to school, organizational psychology analysis is complicated, involving the classification of people into 32 personality categories and 185 items for evaluation.

The “manual,” however, uses a method that classifies people into only three types. Furthermore, it even describes a method for women to motivate themselves once again when they have lost motivation due to failure or guilt as they repeatedly commit fraud. We are amazed at the intelligence of Watanabe, the suspect, to take a specialized method designed for corporate recruitment and human resources and reduce it so vividly into a fraud manual in terms that anyone can understand.

Why are “giver Ojis” and “matcher Ojis” being “topped”? The “manual” describes the characteristics of each man as follows.

Characteristics of the giver Jiba

The characteristics of Jiba the Giver and Jiba the Matcher.

Basically, as human beings mature, they go from “taker” to “matcher” to “giver. All babies are “takers” and do not have the concept of giving in the first place. As they age and approach death, their desire for possession diminishes, and they gradually become “givers. This trend is natural.

Everyone’s values and behavior change with age, and the psychosocial development theory is an easy way to explain this change.

Adolescents aged 12 to 20 are interested in “who they are” and are self-focused in love.
Adults 20-40 years old are interested in “intimacy with others,” and their romantic relationships are mutual-oriented.
Mature 40-65 year olds are interested in “supporting the next generation,” and their love lives are contribution-oriented.
Although there are individual differences, these tendencies generally emerge. In other words, Jiba is the age group that instinctively wants to support the next generation, and the risk of being “topped” is also high.

The method of this manual is to train “matchers,” who emphasize mutual relationship in love, into “givers” who are convenient for them, and to further strengthen “givers,” who are already contribution-oriented in love.

Before introducing the actual method, Riri says, “Set goals.
Setting specific goals” is a motivational technique that has been studied in many branches of psychology, and it generates passion for action. From these studies, it can also be expressed as “results = passion x ability x information. Specific goals create passion, passion creates the ability to get back up even after setbacks, and the ability to try again and again leads to experience and proficiency. The ability to try again and again leads to experience and mastery.

In their case, “ability” may be appearance, makeup, fashion, and personality.
Information” could be from a good textbook, or “manual,” and from their fellow con artists.

For example, to become a doctor, the passion “I’ll do whatever it takes to become a doctor” makes the insanity of long hours of study a reality, and a certain amount of memory and comprehension, good textbooks and teachers, and friends to study with are also essential, as is a cooperative personality.

As a methodology for accomplishing something, she is very correct in her assertion that we should “set a goal first. This equation holds true not only in Tops, but in many other fields.

The “goal-driven girl” vs. the “solitary giver who is somehow living her life, Ojiba.”
Unfortunately, Jiba cannot win.

Dr. Ishimine is a psychiatrist with a clinic. When he was young, he was “topped” by a woman, and from that experience, he has been reformed.

So, does this mean that Jiba will never win? There is a way to escape from the solitary giver Jiba and live a life full of passion. All you have to do is ask yourself one question.

What would make you smile when you die?

As long as we are born with a body, we cannot escape death. Our bodies will eventually decay and leave this world. When death approaches, our bodies cannot move and we cannot speak. At such a time, what will make you smile? Is it a luxury brand? Is it your bank balance? Of course, the answer differs from person to person.

Brand-name goods are brand-name goods because people devoted their lives to the finish of the leather, the finish of the metal, and the design, and if you like them, you can buy them.

If you like it, you can buy it. If you think of your bank balance as your score in the game of life, you can feel proud. There was a patient who was dying of terminal cancer and continued to trade stocks while ignoring his family. He eventually died with 10 billion yen left. None of his family came to his hospital bed, but he seemed content.

He loved something with a crazy passion. He literally loves it to death. Usually, however, he cannot find anything to be as crazy about as he is.

While dealing with the waves of tasks that come one after another day after day, he grows old and his body deteriorates.
Before you know it, you are just coasting along, an Ojiba, not really knowing what your purpose in life is.
Then I meet a girl who has a dream and is in trouble.
Oh, it is my mission to save her. I’m sure it is.
Finally, I found something to burn. What a feeling of satisfaction and happiness.
Yes, I’m happy. I’m happy, so I push myself to the limit and offer money.

And the day will come when the illusory happiness is gone and I will face the reality of poverty.

The purpose of life given to others is fleeting.
You must find your own purpose in life.
How?
That is the question, “What would make you smile when you die?” is the question.

Of course, there is no quick answer.
I want you to think about it every day, even if it is just for a few minutes before you go to bed. Keep thinking about it.
Someday you will find it.
And once you find something, you need to work backward and set a specific goal for how you want to be in a certain number of years in order to obtain it.

Riri started with “specific goals.
You start with “life purpose.

You are no longer the “lonely giver-ojisan.
You are a man who passionately opens his life.

The way you die is the way you live.
To live better and die better with your limited life, I want you to ask yourself one question.
