Hinami Mori, from Tokyo, is active as an actress and model.

“I was able to shoot with a fresh feeling. I was mainly doing gravure about 2 or 3 years ago, around the time I was playing a heroine in Super Sentai, so I could feel the changes in my expressions.”

Hinami Mori, 23, who spoke in a calm voice during the interview, is active in TV dramas, variety shows, and films. She gained popularity playing the heroine in Kikai Sentai Zenkaiger.

“Through doing gravure work, I learned various ways to present my body and how to change my expressions and poses. This time, I was able to shoot more naturally and show my true self, so I hope everyone can feel that aspect.”

Since stepping away from gravure, Hinami Mori has been busy with her work as a talent and actress.

“My regular job is hosting NHK E-Tele’s Shumi no Engei Yasai no Jikan. In dramas, I’m appearing in Son’na Kazoku Nara Suteychaeba? on Kantele this July. I’m really happy to have a regular role in a drama again since Zenkaiger. It’s a challenging role I haven’t played before, but acting in a different personality is one of the joys of acting, so I’m enjoying and challenging myself daily.”

Reflecting on her gravure past, she shared her thoughts on it:

“In gravure, the most important thing is for people to immediately recognize ‘That’s Hinami Mori!’ when they see my photos. I hope people can imagine how I speak and move based on my expressions and gestures. I believe it’s important to leave a strong impression to help others get to know me better.”

She approaches her work with seriousness and doesn’t neglect her efforts even behind the scenes. Kickboxing, which she started on a friend’s recommendation, plays a role in maintaining her health and physique.

“When I have back-to-back work, it’s easy to get run down and affect my shoots, so I started kickboxing to help with that. Even though it’s just once a week, it’s incredibly effective, and it has reduced swelling after shoots. I also enjoy taking half-body baths to thoroughly relieve fatigue.”

She also pays attention to her diet in addition to exercising. She shared a meal she makes almost every day.

“I try to eat as many vegetables as possible, and right now I’m really into tomato soup. It’s easy to make with just consommé, tomatoes, and other vegetables. Actually, I’m not great at cooking, but I’ve realized how important diet and exercise are, so I’m encouraging myself to keep at it. I want to continue this habit in the future.”

When asked about her future goals, she gave a typically charming answer with a big smile.

“I want to continue balancing both talent and acting roles and let as many people as possible get to know me. My long-term goal is to throw the first pitch at a baseball game. I’ll go anywhere if any team invites me! Honestly, I’d be really happy if the Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters called me because I’d love to go to Hokkaido (laughs). I’d also like to try working in agricultural-related ads since my family is involved in farming.”

Hinami Mori: Excelling in Various Fields

Finally, she gave a message to her fans.

“This FRIDAY gravure shoot was done with a soft and fresh image, so I think it turned out with an actress-like feel. Previous gravure work had a more mature, sexy style, which felt like I was stretching beyond myself, but in this shoot, I was able to be more true to myself. I’d love to do it again if the opportunity arises. Please continue to support me as I grow and evolve!”
