With a smile, Fuji TV newcomer announcer Mayu Miyamoto (22) emerged from Fuji TV headquarters, gently stroking Gachapin&#8217;s head. On July 4th, she debuted as the weather segment caster on the network&#8217;s news program &#8220;Live News It!&#8221;.

“Mayu Miyamoto, originally from Fukuoka Prefecture, graduated from a local university and moved to Tokyo for work. During the ‘FNS Akashiya Sanma&#8217;s Favorite Announcer Grand Prix’ broadcast on April 20th, she introduced herself saying, ‘During my student days, I worked as a beer vendor, carrying a 15kg keg and running around domes.’ This garnered positive feedback on social media, with comments like ‘She gives off a hardworking vibe that&#8217;s very likable’ and ‘I remember her, she sold me beer,’ which significantly boosted her popularity.” (according to a sports newspaper reporter)
Just before the live broadcast, Mayu Miyamoto appeared with the staff and Gachapin, gently stroking his head with a relaxed expression. Wearing an earpiece, as rehearsals progressed, she seemed to grow more tense, gradually tightening her expression. Then, when it was time for the live broadcast, Miyamoto briefly introduced herself and smoothly delivered the weather forecast. Without pausing for breath, she continued,
&#8220;From here on, as someone who loves cooking, I&#8217;ll be combining weather and gourmet to bring you the latest.”
She continued, sharing a recipe for &#8220;tomato, lettuce, and egg dish&#8221; with main caster Minoru Aoi to prevent summer fatigue. The live broadcast lasted about 7 minutes, coinciding with Tokyo&#8217;s first intense heat day of the year, reaching 35 degrees Celsius. Miyamoto had been out in the sun for quite a long time, including the rehearsal before the live broadcast.

Nevertheless, Miyamoto remained cheerful throughout, maintaining a cool demeanor until the end. What kind of dish will she introduce next time? Fans are eagerly anticipating her next appearance.

 Fuji Television Network's newest announcer, Maaya Miyamoto, made her debut as a weathercaster on "Live News It! as a weathercaster. Just before her debut, she was playing with Gachapin and had a big smile on her face. She was also performing well on the show.
