The Nara Prefectural Police, Nishiwa Police Station, arrested suspect Shōgo Nosuka (26) from Takishi, Osaka Prefecture on suspicion of forgery and use of a forged official emblem. This was after he allegedly used a fake police ID to conduct a &#8220;stop and search&#8221; on four men in their twenties in Hamadera Park in Sakai City, Osaka Prefecture, on the night of April 17, 2024.

However, why did the Nara Prefectural Police investigate an incident that occurred in Osaka Prefecture? The incident began with the forgery of a driver&#8217;s license.
 
Suspect Nosuka was arrested in May this year on suspicion of forging and using a forged official document, specifically a driver&#8217;s license.
&nbsp;
Nosuka, an employee of a delivery company in Osaka Prefecture, submitted necessary documents and a copy of a driver&#8217;s license to the Nishiwa Police Station through another employee of the delivery company to obtain a permit excluding parking prohibitions, as frequent handling of cargo occurs on the streets within the jurisdiction of Nishiwa Police Station. During this process, a police officer at Nishiwa Police Station noticed irregularities in the font of Nosuka&#8217;s license copy, prompting an investigation that led to the arrest.

Moreover, during a search of Nosuka&#8217;s residence, no driver&#8217;s license was found, and it was discovered that Nosuka did not even possess a valid driver&#8217;s license; in fact, they were driving without a license. Additionally, various police items, including the fake police notebook mentioned at the beginning, were found during the home search, revealing further misconduct.
Suspect Nosuka allegedly purchased a fake police ID from a website, attached a plate with &#8220;Osaka Prefectural Police&#8221; engraved on it himself, and posed as an undercover police officer from Osaka Prefecture. He approached people under the guise of conducting police questioning. The fake police ID included his real name, which seems odd given the seriousness of the situation.
When the Nishiwa Police Station contacted the victim, a man in his twenties, who had actually been subjected to a &#8220;police questioning,&#8221; they found his contact information had been left behind. &#8220;I thought he was a real police officer.”and said so. &#8220;I satisfied my desire as a police enthusiast by forging a police notebook and conducting identity checks.” The suspect stated that and admitted to the charges. The distance from the suspect&#8217;s home to Hamadera Park is about a 15-minute drive.

He also possessed other police gear, including model guns, batons, armbands labeled with &#8220;crime prevention,&#8221; and belts resembling those used to carry handguns and batons. The model guns were replicas of real police firearms, with some even having handwritten details like Osaka and identification numbers to mimic authenticity.

Among the confiscated items were a red light and a car-mounted microphone. Shockingly, Mr. Nosuka had even customized his own car to resemble an undercover police vehicle. His Nissan Teana model was identical to investigative vehicles used nationwide, complete with antennas resembling radios on the roof and clips inside the car to pass wires for the red light, faithfully replicating the genuine article.

Just like the fake undercover police car incident in Fukuoka earlier this year, a similar vehicle was discovered here as well. It&#8217;s reported that Mr. Nosuka&#8217;s fake undercover police car was capable of emergency driving with sirens blaring, despite him not having a license for such activities, which is quite alarming.

After police investigations, the seized vehicles were returned to Mr. Nosuka&#8217;s residence. Police suspect additional offenses related to vehicle tampering and continue their investigation. Another police enthusiast with a history of wrongdoing will face justice under the law.

 Another foolish act of a police maniac has been uncovered. Shogo Nouzuka, of Takaishi City, Osaka Prefecture, was arrested on suspicion of forgery and use of official documents for questioning four men using a fake police identification book. The arrest stemmed from an act of forgery of a driver's license.
