Eddi Reader was surrounded by fans as soon as he came out of the concert venue.

In late June night, coming out of a Shibuya live house, Glasgow-born female singer Eddi Reader (64) was surrounded by fans

“She was the vocalist of ‘Fairground Attraction,’ and their debut song ‘Perfect’ topped the UK Singles Chart in 1988, swiftly becoming a worldwide hit. With its catchy rhythm and the phrase ‘It’s got to be perfect,’ it’s a phrase almost everyone has heard at least once.

The following year, she embarked on a two-month tour in Japan at the peak of her popularity. However, the band disbanded in 1990 without producing a second album. Since then, Eddi has continued her solo career as a singer-songwriter, creating many hit songs like ‘Patience of Angels’ and ‘Candyfloss & Medicine.’ She remains popular today as a singer known for her soothing voice, hailed as one of Scotland’s finest.” (Music magazine editor)

During this visit to Japan, the elusive band reunited with its original members after 35 years, embarking on a Japan tour. Despite the passage of time, Eddi, with her blonde hair, retained the same aura as before. As she appeared before her middle-aged male fans, who had gathered to listen to the nostalgic songs of their youth, Eddi asked them, “Remember me?” which prompted loud cheers. She interacted warmly with them, saying “Thank you” with a smile and seemed delighted by the barrage of autograph requests.

Her soothing voice and friendly fan service undoubtedly brought comfort to her older male fans.
