Akihiro Nishino of King Kong Confesses Special Relationship with 10-Year Lover
Scoop: He took her on a date to a park! He thought they went shopping together at a convenience store, but then he made her wait for an hour on a bench and went walking in the park.

In the early afternoon of mid-June, Akihiro Nishino (44) of “King Kong” strolled through the streets of Tokyo, catching the attention of passersby who couldn’t help but take a second look at his casually dressed figure. Dressed in training wear and under the gaze of onlookers, Nishino headed towards a personal gym. After sweating it out for about an hour, he met up with a woman with brown hair. The two began walking together, chatting amiably.
“Accompanying Nishino was his girlfriend, ‘A’. As Nishino himself has revealed, the two met at a hostess club where she worked, and they started dating around ’11. They openly share about this 10-year love, and Nishino has mentioned it several times at events,” a showbiz journalist from a sports paper states.
Along the way, they stopped at a convenience store to pick up hot snacks before heading to a park bustling with couples and families. Just when it seemed like they might enjoy a picnic-like atmosphere, Nishino’s eccentric behavior began from here.
“At the park, Nishino began walking in circles around a 500-meter outer perimeter route while playing with his smartphone. Meanwhile, the woman with him was left waiting on a distant bench the entire time,” a student who was at the park reported.
One lap or two laps with Nishino’s walking session lasted an astonishing hour. What exactly was the purpose of this play? Is he considering a goal with his 10-year lover? Later on, Nishino himself was directly approached for answers.
――The other day, you were seen circling the park while leaving your girlfriend waiting. What was that about?
“Oh? (laughs) Ah, I always walk there. I run an online salon, and I was writing posts for the salon on my phone while walking.”
――Is your relationship with A like a common-law marriage?
“No, not really.”
At first bewildered, but then starting with a smile, Nishino began talking about his “special relationship” with A-san during the interview. In the July 4th issue of ‘FRIDAY’, Nishino elaborated in a direct interview lasting about 30 minutes on his views on marriage with A-san and his feelings towards Hitoshi Matsumoto, who faced allegations of sexual misconduct.
