Marie Iitoyo Shares Overflowing Happiness of Walking Mask-Free with Husband

A month has passed since the marriage announcement on May 16th of Issei Takahashi (43) and Marie Iitoyo (26).

About two years ago, FRIDAY scooped their close relationship (at that time, Hasegawa’s agency refrained from commenting, and Iitoyo’s agency stated, “It is not true”). However, there were no reports about their relationship until their marriage. A friend of Iitoyo explained the reason:

“They have been dating for over two years. She only confided this fact to very close acquaintances and strictly asked them not to disclose it. This is because Hasegawa was reported to be in a passionate relationship with actress Aoi Morikawa (29) in ’18, which led to intense backlash from Takahashi fervent fans towards Morikawa. She was deeply concerned about this and said, ‘It must never be known, and I can’t even go outside.'”

And that’s how Iitoyo’s close friend revealed her thoughts.

Even so, during the filming of the ‘Rohan Kishibe’ series (NHK), which sparked their relationship, they also had extended shoots in Paris. It might have provided them with opportunities to spend time alone together.

“I heard that they walked together without masks or disguises in the bustling city center, filled with many young people. It was very thrilling for them, but apparently, no one noticed. Iitoyo was so happy, like a child, saying, ‘I was so happy to walk without worrying about people seeing us for the first time!’ She actually loves gathering with many friends and enjoying time together. It seems she wanted to introduce Takahashi to her friends much earlier. From now on, I think there will be more opportunities for them to hang out with friends together.”

Come to think of it, when announcing their marriage, Iitoyo spoke about Takahashi like this.
