The lawsuit filed by the former manager of the popular ramen restaurant &#8220;Taishoken&#8221; has become a big topic of conversation among ramen fans.
The former manager filed a lawsuit on November 30, and held a press conference on the same day, accusing Shinsuke Tauchigawa, the president of &#8220;Taishoken TOKYO Corporation&#8221;, which operates four affiliated stores of &#8220;Taishoken&#8221;. They are seeking a total of approximately 10.67 million yen, including unpaid overtime wages and compensation for power harassment.

Around September 2006, when the former manager was working at Otsuka Taishoken, he was ordered by President Taichikawa to press a stun gun to his face. At the press conference, a video of another employee pressing a stun gun to his face was shown, and an audio recording of what appeared to be President Tauchikawa saying, &#8220;Saying it hurts is not remorseful.
The lawyer representing the former manager claimed, &#8220;It is clear that the act by Mr. Tauchikawa is an act of harassment and an illegal act. On the other hand, President Tauchikawa, who was named as the party responsible for the power harassment, had remained silent after the ex-manager&#8217;s press conference, but opened his heavy mouth for the first time when interviewed by FRIDAY.
