<p> What did &#8220;FRIDAY&#8221; report 10, 20, and 30 years ago? In &#8220;Playback Friday,&#8221; we take a look back at the topics that were hot at the time. This time, we present <span class="strongInContent">&#8220;Eri Furuse&#8217;s &#8216;Super Body&#8217; Photographed in Parts,&#8221;</span> which appeared in the June 4, 2004 issue 20 years ago.</p>
<p> Eri Furuse, then an NHK Yamagata newscaster known as &#8220;Suicup,&#8221; became popular nationwide after the magazine reported on her affair with Montedio Yamagata coach Koichi Hashiratani in its July 18, 2003, issue. Her contract with NHK was set to expire in March, and her departure was closely watched. This color-page article introduces her debut press conference at a commercial TV station and her subsequent &#8220;real&#8221; appearance in her own clothes. <h3><span class="strongInContent"> I didn&#8217;t want to be called a &#8220;swiss cup,&#8221; so I went on &#8220;Ulleung.</span></h3>
<p> On May 14, 2004, former NHK Yamagata anchor Eri Furuse, then 26, held a press conference in Tokyo to announce her debut as a commercial broadcaster. This magazine has seen her &#8220;in the flesh&#8221; many times in the past, but this was the first time we were able to get such a close and serious look at her.</p>
<p><span class="strongInContent"> Her first job after signing a contract with &#8220;Office Two One,&#8221; to which Hiroshi Kume also belongs, was as a reporter for the TV program &#8220;Sekai Urugurun Jyoki&#8221; (TBS). She appeared in front of the interviewers with a nervous look on her face. Her pure white suit hid her breasts and neckline, but she could not hide the &#8220;fullness&#8221; of her &#8220;95cm G cup&#8221; (estimated size).</span></p>

<p>Even before the affair report in &#8217;03, Furuse had been favored with the nickname &#8220;Suikup&#8221; by some female announcer lovers. Her national debut was something her fans had been waiting for, but she did not seem to like the nickname.</p>

She was talking about her desire to work as a newscaster.</p>

<p> However, in 2006, she showed off her gravure in &#8220;Shukan Gendai&#8221; to the delight of her fans. She became more relaxed than she had been at first, and began to show her &#8220;swiss cup&#8221; story on variety shows and the like.</p>
<p> In August 2011, Furuse married a man eight years her senior, and the following year she became the mother of a child. Last year, she returned to gravure for the first time in six years and became a topic of conversation. In an interview with &#8220;Daily Shincho&#8221; in March of this year, she talked about her thoughts back in 2004.</p>

<p> When she gives lectures, which are the focus of her recent activities, she often uses the word &#8220;swiss cup&#8221; as a &#8220;catchphrase.</p>
