Actress, variety artist…more and more opportunities for her activities even after turning 60

In the movie “Last Turn: Kenji Fukuyama, Age 71, Second Youth,” starring Koichi Iwashiro, which opened in theaters on May 10, Miyazaki Yoshiko plays the role of the wife supporting her husband Kenji, who is suffering from dementia and is played by Koichi Iwashiro.

Miyazaki’s natural acting and gentle looks have made her the ideal wife and mother in Japan today, and her easygoing personality has made a good impression on viewers. The following is a review of Miyazaki’s career to date, as she continues to expand her horizons even after turning 60.

Miyazaki Miko is a pioneer of the “talented college girl talent,” a genre that is still indispensable in variety shows today.

Born in Kumamoto Prefecture in 1958, Miyazaki graduated from the Faculty of Law at Kumamoto University. She graduated from the Faculty of Law at Kumamoto University. In 1980, while still a university student, she was featured in the “Asahi Weekly” magazine “Shinoyama Kishin ga Shots! Spring on Campus” for “Asahi Weekly” in 1980. She passed the screening and was featured on the cover of Asahi Weekly. This cover led to her appearance in a commercial for Comi Cami-Nolta, in which she appeared in a blue bikini in the shade of a tree with the song, “Now you are shiny, shiny, shiny. She became a household name.

Divorced after only one year and four months…no appearances in trendy dramas at the height of their popularity.

In the same year, she made her debut as an actress in the drama “Genki Desu! (TBS), and in 1981, she began a full-fledged career in show business, appearing in “Senpachi Sensei, 2 Years B Class” (TBS). At the same time, she became a pioneer in the genre of “talented and talented female college student talent,” which is still an indispensable part of the variety show business today, taking advantage of her intelligence as a national university graduate.

In 1989, she married a man who worked as an assistant director of “Senpachi Sensei,” a TV program that ran for eight years, but the couple divorced after only one year and four months. She said, “From the time we registered our marriage, both he and I felt a sense of discomfort,” and “I can’t really say what caused the divorce,” (in the August 29, 1992 issue of “Smile”), making her short marriage seem like a mirage to her. Shortly after this, she changed her stage name to Yoshiko Miyazaki, but changed it back to Miyazaki Yoshiko in 2000.

In her thirties, she entered the heyday of trendy dramas, but as she herself says, “But I didn’t appear in any of them,” (Biste, June 19, 2007), her career as an actress was sluggish. She was supported during this period by Akira Kurosawa’s film “Ran,” in which she appeared at the age of 27, a turning point in her career, according to her own words. If I had not seen Akira Kurosawa’s film “Ran,” I don’t think I would be where I am today. I was so afraid of making mistakes that I was reticent, but Kurosawa told me that it was okay to be just as I was” (Fujin Koron, September 8, 2008 issue).

In the September 8, 2008 issue of Fujin Koron (Fujin Kohron), she says, “I found my place as an actress,” and in the June 19, 2007 issue of Bi-ST, she says, “I can now call myself an actress for the first time. (Bi-ST June ’19). Miyazaki played the wife of the main character in this film, for which she won the Japan Academy Award for Outstanding Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role, and this is where her career as an actress began to flourish. She was 41 years old at the time. Since that time, Miyazaki has played the role of a wife and mother more and more often, and she has become an indispensable actress who plays the role of a “good wife” in a variety of dramas and films.

She showed off her “bikini body” in a calendar celebrating the 40th anniversary of her debut.

After that, she appeared in “Q-sama! (both on TV Asahi), “Kurimum Quiz Miracle 9,” and “Super Time Shock” (both on TV Asahi). She has also gained new fans on variety shows, using her background as a national university graduate and a well-read person to give a series of correct answers. In 2008, she showed off her bikini body in a calendar produced to commemorate the 40th anniversary of her debut. Her body was as voluptuous as it had been 40 years ago, surprising not only her old fans but also those who had the image of a “quiz girl.

Currently, she is on YouTube, “Yoshiyoshi. Miyazaki introduces her books and cooks on YouTube, and also shows videos of her and SHIMOFURI MYOJO’s “1,000,000 yen has been repaid! and other videos at her leisure.

She also enjoys collecting ore, which she has been addicted to since she was in her 20s. For the past 15 years or so (as of 2003), I have been buying and collecting rocks wherever I go, both in Japan and abroad,” he says. When I travel far, I sometimes bring my own hammer” (Shukan Shincho, January 18, 2003 issue). In April of this year, she was invited to a ceremony commemorating the relocation and opening of the Ishinikuru Museum of History and Folklore in Ishikawa, Fukushima Prefecture, one of Japan’s three major mineral-producing areas, and has become known as a mineral enthusiast.

Miyazaki Yoshiko is an actress, quizzer, YouTuber, and mineral enthusiast, and she is at home in a wide variety of genres. In today’s grumpy Japan, her calm presence may be just what is needed.
