One day in late November, a crowd of people gathered at the bus terminal in Saitama Shin-Toshin. The onlookers were staring at Erina Arai (31), a freelance announcer.
Arai, who was the chief of the Omiya Police Station for a day, appeared in a police uniform and rode in a convertible police car. He gave a three-minute speech without any notes and charmed the audience with his big smile.

 This is the fourth time Arai has served as police chief for a day. This is the fourth time he has served as a police chief for a day. Morning&#8221; (TV Asahi), as well as the fact that he looks great in a police uniform, he is said to have many fans among police officers.
 Arai is known for her refreshing smile, but in fact, the corners of her mouth tend to droop if she doesn&#8217;t consciously make a smile.
