Tsuyoshi Nagabuchi Stuns on YouTube Channel ‘THE FIRST TAKE’ with Iconic Song ‘Tonbo’.

Singer Tsuyoshi Nagabuchi appeared for the first time on the popular YouTube channel ‘THE FIRST TAKE’ on May 3rd.

He passionately sang his hit song ‘Tonbo’, but before he started singing, he delivered an intense solo talk for about 6 minutes.

“When I write poetry, it’s always accompanied by pain. Because when I feel unbearable pain, anger, despair, or feel like I can’t get up anymore, there is always a guitar by my side, so I live as one with the guitar.”

He concluded with the following words.

“I want to sing gentle songs to those who, amidst the drama of love and hate, feel like hating and wanting to kill others. I truly mean it. I will continue to write songs from now on.”

He concluded with these words before beginning his performance.

He strummed his guitar loudly, singing solo at first, then the band joined in midway, delivering a powerful rendition of ‘Tonbo’ with the full force of a live band.

The video surpassed 1 million views within just 2 days of its release.

“I’m not particularly a fan or anything, but I was incredibly moved. It was so cool. Thank you very much.”

“I was drawn in. I hope he keeps going strong.”

It yielded results that impressed not only fans but also fans of FIRST TAKE.

On the other hand, his own YouTube channel, which he launched in early April, continues to struggle.

The number of channel subscribers is only around 20,000, and his latest video was posted the day before appearing on FIRST TAKE.

“[Tsuyoshi Nagabuchi’s Harmonica School] Passing On the Ultimate Techniques”

The video, titled “[Tsuyoshi Nagabuchi’s Harmonica School] Passing On the Ultimate Techniques,” has only been viewed around 28,000 times, which is less than 1/35th of the views for the performance of ‘Tonbo’.

“It seems that the sexual misconduct allegations against the former actress are still causing a significant backlash. Nagabuchi himself has talked about being rejected by TV and radio when trying to promote himself on YouTube, indicating that he’s feeling anxious as his fan base dwindles. He still hasn’t provided a proper explanation or apology, and it gives the impression that he’s continuing to evade the issue.” (Someone from a record company)

Instead of an apology, Nagabuchi made a video saying:

“If I felt that way even 10 or 20 years ago, why didn’t you say anything then? If it’s a criminal case, I should have been arrested by now.”

He was under fire for making such a statement without considering the former actress’s feelings, and sparked controversy.

On the other hand, Nagabuchi didn’t mention any specific names.

“I was chosen to play Eiji Ogawa’s sister in the movie Eiji.”

“I’m grateful for her dedication to the role of my sister.”

It seems he is aware of who the controversy is about from these circumstances.

Due to this background, on social media, there has been discussion about his performance on FIRST TAKE, with some users.

“At a time like this, he’s got some serious mental fortitude.”

“First, he should apologize. Doesn’t he realize that’s what’s bothering everyone?”

Such critical voices are also being raised.

Nagabuchi has been delivering passionate songs from the Showa era to the present. While he showed his undeniable talent on FIRST TAKE, his songs continue to resonate with fans’ hearts in the future while the allegations of sexual misconduct remain unresolved.
