Around 4:00 PM on April 8th, Yuka Kurotani (48) appeared in front of JR Shin-Urayasu Station in police attire.

On this day, a unity ceremony for the “Spring National Traffic Safety Campaign,” which took place from April 6th to the 15th, was held, and Kurotani appeared as the one-day police chief of the Urayasu Police Station in Chiba Prefecture.

“Even though she was born in Osaka and still speaks in Kansai dialect, Kurotani became fascinated with horse riding at the age of 19 and purchased a house in the Boso Peninsula in her early twenties. She has been commuting between Tokyo and the Boso Peninsula for over 25 years, leaving her beloved horse in a riding club in Chiba Prefecture.” (TV magazine writer)

This year, Kurotani was chosen as the “Reiwa 6th Year Public Relations Image Character” for the Chiba Prefectural Police, and in January, she participated in an event as the “One-day Communications Officer” at the Chiba Prefectural Police Headquarters.

Kurotani, accustomed to such events, was warmly welcomed by children who rushed to her for handshakes. Among mothers of the same generation, there were surprised voices:

“Is she really in her fifties?! Unbelievable! She’s incredibly beautiful!”

“Her skin is so smooth and white~”

In 2022, she was appointed as the “Peninsula Support Ambassador” by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, residing on the Boso Peninsula surrounded by the sea from three sides, promoting the charm of the peninsula. Since 2013, she has also served as a goodwill ambassador for her hometown of Sakai City, Osaka Prefecture, balancing her busy schedule with her acting career. Her dream, as she expressed it, is to spread the charm of horses to more people,

“My beloved horse can carry children. I would be happy if children of acquaintances could experience the same excitement I felt when riding. Having horses around changes your life. I want more people to know about it.” (From “Kateigaho” January 2023 issue)

It’s surprising that there have been no reports of romantic involvement with Kurotani, given her abundant charm, but perhaps there is simply no room for romance between her and her beloved horses.
