The bikini beauty with a happy smile is Mari Takahashi, 27, a former freelance announcer who made headlines this February when her candidacy for the National Democratic Party of Japan (DPJ) in the Tokyo 15 lower house district by-election was canceled.
Takahashi, who was a finalist for the Miss Keio pageant, joined Sprout, the university student division of the entertainment agency St. Force, in 2006. After graduation, she also worked for Accenture, a foreign-affiliated consulting firm.
The handsome man smiling as he hugs Mr. Takahashi is Ryoeru Kawashima, 29, a member of “Travis Japan.
Kawashima, who studied dance and acting from an early age, joined Johnny’s (now SMILE-UP.) in 2007. In July 2012, he was selected as a founding member of Travis Japan. The group has been pushing for an overseas orientation in the forefront, studying in the U.S. from March ’22 and making their world debut with a local record company in October of the same year. Kawashima, the oldest member of the group, is popular in the group for her strong character.
What kind of relationship do the two have? A mutual acquaintance tells us.
They met at a birthday party for Kaito Miyachika (26), a member of Travis Japan, in 2006. Mari was invited to the birthday party by a mutual acquaintance, and that is where she hit it off with Ryoeru.
Soon after, the two began dating. They began dating shortly after and continued their close relationship until recently.
“Mari’s birthday present was an Armani bag, and they went on an overseas trip together, and they seemed to be getting along very well. I heard that they were planning to get married and had introduced each other to their parents.
