“I want to show that I am different from the me before through the cage,” he said. Image is from the YouTube channel “Breaking Down.”

Once again, a tragedy has repeated itself.

It has been revealed through an interview with FRIDAY Digital that a handsome fighter participating in “Breaking Down,” a competition organized by MMA fighter Mikuru Asakura to determine the strongest fighter in a minute-long fight, was arrested in early February.

“In early February, Kubota, who is known for his nickname, got into an argument with his girlfriend, with whom he lived, while intoxicated. Kubota reportedly wielded a fire extinguisher installed in the apartment and damaged the door and walls. The girlfriend also suffered significant injuries. It seems he was arrested on suspicion of property damage and assault.” (Source: informant)

This isn’t the first time Kubota, the suspect, has been arrested. Last March, he was arrested for assaulting his girlfriend, as reported by FRIDAY Digital.

“It seems the level of violence wasn’t just slapping or light hitting but rather severe domestic violence, causing significant injuries to the face and elsewhere. The victim appears to be the same woman as in this incident. Although Kubota was arrested last March, it seems the girlfriend agreed to a settlement and they reconciled. In April last year, Kubota also admitted to his ‘DV arrest’ on his own YouTube channel and apologized but,” (Same source)

When we contacted the Public Relations Division of the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department,

“We refrain from providing responses regarding specific cases.”

The response was, “We refrain from providing responses regarding specific cases.”

Kubota, the suspect, returned to Breaking Down in October last year.

“I’ve quit drinking and smoking now, and it’s not just about starting over as a person, but I want to show that I’m different from who I was before through the cage.”

Many fans must have hoped and believed in these words, wishing for his comeback. Does Kubota, the suspect, realize that he has once again betrayed the trust of so many people?
