Sousuke Ikematsu was polite and “godly” to each and every one of his fans.

In mid-January, Sousuke Ikematsu (33) appeared on stage at “Shimotakaido Cinema” (Setagaya-ku, Tokyo) to greet the audience for the movie “Between the White and Black Keys”.

The film is a film adaptation of jazz musician Hiroshi Minami’s memoir “Between the White Key and the Black Key: A Jazz Pianist’s Elegy in Ginza,” a human drama depicting the intersecting lives of two pianists in a jazz bar in Ginza in the late Showa period. Ikematsu plays the dual roles of two jazz pianists.

The film was released last October, and on its opening day, a stage greeting was given by co-stars Riisa Naka and Go Morita, among others. The venue was Takaido Cinema, which has been a favorite of movie fans as a famous movie theater since 1980. Only Mr. Ikematsu and director Masanori Tominaga took the stage. After the screening, a talk show was held, and the audience seemed to be united with them in a cozy atmosphere, making the event quite lively.

And here comes the surprise. After the event, Ikematsu waited for the audience to come out of the theater. After the event, Ikematsu waited for the audience to exit the theater, exchanged words with each fan, shook hands with them, and politely asked for their autographs on pamphlets.

I was very grateful to have such a great actor starring in such a famous movie as “Shin Kamen Rider” come to the theater, but I was also surprised at how close he was to me. He also has a very handsome voice, so it was great.

Speaking of Ikematsu, as of the end of August last year, he left HORIPRO, to which he had belonged for 13 years, to go independent. When he appeared on “Meshidora ~Kanekon & Shinnosuke no Gourmet Drive~” (Nippon Television Network Corporation) broadcast on October 7, 2011,

He said, “I’ve been thinking a lot about when I’m going to quit. I suddenly thought, ‘Hey, this might be the right time. I suddenly thought, ‘Maybe now is the time.

He said that the reason for his independence was a sudden impulse. In an interview published in “Mynavi News” on January 25, Ikematsu was asked what he wants to accomplish this year,

For example, in the case of movies, I always have an idea of what I want to make, so I will continue to work hard on that. Every year, I try to do it more carefully.

I am trying to do it with more care every year. Perhaps one of his “polite” thoughts was this “divine response.

In early April 2011, Sousuke Ikematsu had a launch party at a Chinese restaurant in Tokyo with his movie co-stars and the production team. He looked a little tipsy and flustered.
