Takashi Hosokawa Announces Remarriage to Former City Councilor

“I am pleased to inform you that I have recently entered the family register with a wonderful woman.”

On January 10, enka singer Takashi Hosokawa (73) announced his second marriage in a blitz through his agency.

In fact, the announcement of Hosokawa’s remarriage was made after this magazine directly contacted the couple. Here is what happened when we interviewed the couple in Nara Prefecture four hours before the announcement.

 

On the 10th, after a two-hour concert, Hosokawa was about to get into a pick-up truck, dressed in a very expensive and well-designed set-up (130,000 yen for the top and bottom) and watched by a large number of staff members. A woman resembling Eimi Wakui was accompanying him.

“He was accompanied by a woman who looked like Eimi Wakui. She is Mr. Hosokawa’s second marriage partner.”

Mr. A, a political insider living in Chiba Prefecture, confides, “The relationship between the two had been rumored among local lawmakers since around April of last year.”

“The reason is that the woman he is dating is Ms. K. (51), who served four terms as a city councilor of a municipality in Chiba Prefecture until last October. In fact, she has a history of being in charge of Takashi Hosokawa’s management since he was a city councilor. In 2018, Mr. Hosokawa lost his wife, who had been with him since before his debut, to illness. Since then, Ms. K has suddenly grown closer to Mr. Hosokawa, and there were rumors that they might be having a relationship.”

 

In fact, this magazine also witnessed Ms. K accompanying Hosokawa to a concert many times in 2019, and reported on their relationship in the December 27, 2019 issue of the magazine.

Let us return to the beginning of the story. A reporter of this magazine directly interviewed Hosokawa and Ms. K getting into a car in Nara. Hosokawa said a few words, “Thank you,” and his office announced four hours later that he had remarried–a big surprise.
