It was hard to believe that they had been married for seven years, but they were so in love with each other (October 25, ’19 issue)

I am writing to inform you that I have divorced.

On January 4, singer, TV personality, and actress Shoko Haidashi (44) updated her Instagram page to report that she had divorced.

She said, “Haidashi has been aiming for Takarazuka Revue since the second year of junior high school, and passed the entrance exam to Takarazuka Music School on her second attempt when she was in her second year of high school.” After graduating in 1998, she performed as a daughter in the star troupe under the stage name ‘Chikoto Hidaka.” She left the troupe in 2002, and the following year she became the “19th generation songstress” for NHK’s “Okaasan to tosho.

It was at that time that she changed her name to her current stage name. She became very popular as a “song lady,” and after graduating at the end of March 2008, she appeared on variety shows as a TV personality. Her “natural” character has been recognized by many viewers.

She met her husband, Mr. A, a civilian, when she became “Uta no Onee-san,” and the two married in 2012 after nearly 10 years of dating. In the October 25, 2007 issue of “FRIDAY,” the two were seen getting along well after seven years of marriage. We would like to recount and look back (some contents have been modified).

Lovey-dovey hand-holding date in the seventh year of marriage

It was after 10 pm. They were walking shoulder to shoulder in front of a certain station in Tokyo. Haida, wearing a cap with her eyes deep in her head, occasionally looks up at her husband, who is two years older than she is, a well-built man walking next to her, and her face breaks into a smile.

The two entered a kappo izakaya in front of the station and sat down at the counter.

After finishing a performance of the play “Sherlock Holmes of Love and Sorrow” in which she was appearing that day, Haida took a cab back to her home in Tokyo; five minutes later, Mr. A came out the front door with her.

Two and a half hours later, at 1 am. They returned to their love nest, their arms and hands intertwined.

I had heard that they are still a close couple, that they don’t have any children, but that they travel together. ……

Haida discussed the reasons for their divorce,

“We were both very busy in our lives, and with the changes in our living environment at the COVID-19 crisis, we had our differences, and due to my inadequacies, we ended up in this situation,” she explained.

He explained, “We were both very busy in our lives. As for the future,

I wish him happiness in the future, and I will also devote myself to walking forward with great care, one step at a time, day by day. I look forward to your continued support.

I wish him all the best in his future endeavors. We would like to keep an eye on Haida’s activities from now on.
