Kim’s allegations of bribery are not entirely baseless: On November 27, the YouTube channel “Seoul Voice” released a video of Kim allegedly receiving a luxury bag from Pastor Choi. The video recorded the following graphic exchange between the two men.

Pastor Choi, I don’t think I can give you a gift next time.

In the video, Kim appears to be confused but does not refuse to accept the luxury bag.

The video seems to have been shot with the built-in camera of a wristwatch worn by Pastor Choi. The video was apparently shot by a reporter for the “Seoul Voice,” who gave the bag to Pastor Choi in advance, and who has been involved in a lawsuit with the president and his wife after publishing seven hours of Kim’s private phone calls. When the video in question was released, he left the Voice of Seoul shortly afterward.
