Tomoya Nagase’s “Nothing to Lose” Post has Stirred Curiosity Around Fans
Former TOKIO member Tomoya Nagase’s “meaningful posts” have become the talk of the town.
On November 15 and 16, he successively updated his Instagram Stories with photos of himself enjoying his hobby of riding his motorcycle, including “Bokuchichi Circuit,” “Bokuchichi Riding,” and “Bokuchichi Paddock,” as well as a scene of him eating “Bokuchichi Meal”
Later, on the evening of the 16th
“I’ve given up on a lot of things. I’ll remind you how scary it is to be a person with nothing to lose.”
The post was full of meaning. iT was written in red letters and was accompanied by photos of several guitars. Many people on the Internet voiced their concern, asking “What’s wrong?” and “Are you okay?”
Nagase celebrated his 45th birthday on the 7th of this month, and in “Josei Jishin” (women’s magazine) published on the 15th of this month, he was photographed having a birthday dinner with a bunch of friends. The Instagram postings of Nagase repeatedly using the word “Bokuchichi” seem to indicate that this was an answer to a weekly magazine report.
“He was clearly making a story out of it. There is nothing to worry about. I think fans are enjoying watching Nagase’s exchanges.” (sports reporter)
On August 9, he posted a video of himself on Stories munching on a tire.
“This is Bridgestone!”
“This is a Batlux, right?”
The video was so outlandish that, for some reason, it was later deleted.
After leaving Johnny’s, Nagase has immersed himself in his hobbies of motorcycles and cars, and his instagram shows him test driving at a circuit. I get the impression that he is freely enjoying what he likes. She is truly a go-getter.
Nagase is known as one of the most popular men in the entertainment industry. In the past, he has had affairs with Ayumi Hamasaki and Saki Aibu, an actress. However, the post suggests that he is currently single, but a person who knows Nagase says,
“He has been generally popular since before he left Johnny’s group. I think he has been dating ordinary women since before he left Johnny’s. He has a style that rivals that of a model, and he has been seen riding a motorcycle.”
A TOKIO fan also testified,
“Nagase really likes motorcycles and even teases them himself. He usually shows up at events where bikers gather and at motorcycle fairs wearing a leather jacket and sunglasses. Sometimes he even brings his girlfriend along.”
“He doesn’t seem to hide it, and his fellow bikers don’t bother to mention it. He is always so natural, I don’t think it’s a scandal.”
Speaking of Nagase, when the late Johnny Kitagawa passed away, he made headlines with his radical words of condolence.
“I can’t find any other words than “You are the best,” You are too cool, so you will probably go to hell. I am also a man who is aiming for hell, so let’s meet again in hell. Until then, please rest well.”
At the time, this was interpreted as a rocking eulogy in the Nagase style, but once the sexual assault of Mr. Johnny was known, it instantly sounded more meaningful. A person involved in the entertainment industry said,
“There is no way he could have foreseen the sexual assault issue at that point in time. Mr. Nagase respected Mr. Johnny, so it is hard to think that he meant something else.”
TOKIO is operating as “TOKIO Inc.” with leader Shigeru Johjima as president and Taichi Kokubun and Masahiro Matsuoka. Yamaguchi Tatsuya, who left the group, is gradually expanding his work, including giving lectures on addiction-related topics.
The group made its major debut in September 1994 with its first single, “LOVE YOU ONLY”. Next year will mark the 30th anniversary of their debut.
“There are no hard feelings among the members of TOKIO. It depends on Mr. Yamaguchi’s condition, but Mr. Nagase would be happy to join TOKIO as a band. If there is any movement, it will be next year.” (A music insider)
