“Wednesday’s Campanella” Utaha Showed More than Unique Makeup on Location for the Drama

In mid-October, after 6:00 p.m. when the sun was setting, a drama was being filmed on location on a street near a certain station in Bunkyo-ku (Tokyo). There were many onlookers, and the high school girls were all like, “What? No way!” They saw a person walking between two female staff members. It is Utaha, 22, the second-generation vocalist of “Wednesday Campanella”

She is wearing a green one-piece dress and a red hooded jacket. Her bright red hair is shaved at the sides and she wears a white hair clip that looks like a rabbit. She wore black eye shadow that bounced up from the corners of her eyes, and two earrings around her mouth, in her typical fashion.

 

“It was in September of 2021 that Utaha became the second vocalist for the popular music unit “Mizukan”. Only six months later, she released “Edison,” which became a huge hit, and her cheerful character and unique sensibility have earned her a charismatic following among young people.”

Last December, “FRIDAY” scooped Utaha living together with a model and artist named YAMEPI in a 44-year-old apartment. In a direct interview, we asked her, “Are you in a relationship?” She replied, “Yes, I am.”

 

She answered in a matter-of-fact manner. This year, she has also ventured into acting, appearing in the July drama “The Best Teacher: 1 Year Later, I Became a Student” (NTV),

On the same day, she appeared in the drama “Tokumei,” starring Kanna Hashimoto (24)! (Fuji TV), in which Utaha seems to be playing a delinquent girl and repeatedly filmed a scene in which she steals a bag from a drunk who is sleeping on the street.

On the November 4 broadcast of the variety show “Saturday, What’s Up!” (Fuji Television Network), Utaha talked about how she became the second vocalist. According to her story, a producer suddenly contacted her via Instagram DM (direct message) saying, “I’m interested in you.” and suddenly contacted her. 

“We talked about my views on life, what I value, what I want to do, and so on. We repeated the conversation twice, and the third time we met, he asked me, ‘Would you like to be the vocalist for Wednesday’s Campanella?’ I accepted.”

At the time, she was optimistic

“I was optimistic at the time and was ready to take on whatever was in front of me,” she said.

It seems that Reiwa’s “Cinderella story” is indeed the path taken by Utaha, who has achieved great success as a singer and actor in just two years since her debut. What kind of figure will she show us next? Expectations are growing ever higher.
