Kiritani played the role of the wizard Tekla in the film. When we think of wizards, we tend to imagine them wearing pointy hats and long black robes, but Kiritani’s costume is white and silver, with silver hair and a big white ribbon!

The Netflix movie “Red Riding Hood, Meeting a Corpse on a Journey” is a live-action adaptation of the hit novel by Hekito Aoyagi, directed by Yuichi Fukuda. It is a fantasy x mystery x comedy in which Red Riding Hood (played by Kanna Hashimoto) solves incidents that occur in the world of fairy tales during her travels, and features an all-star cast including Yuko Shinki and Gosuke Iwata.

Kiritani married actor Shohei Miura (35) in 2006, and their first child was born in 2008. After her marriage, Kiritani had been cutting back on her work, but since the beginning of this year, she has been gaining exposure as a voice actor in anime films and appearing on variety shows.
