Fuji had been closed at the end of August, but since it was registered as a World Heritage site, the mountain has been open until September 10. However, in September, the mountain lodges close for business in August because the roads begin to freeze and it becomes impossible to unload luggage. Why is the mountain open while the lodges are closed?
