Ono said, “I liked a message that said, ‘Kill me. I received a DM from a female college student saying, ‘Thank you.

In court, Ono explained his motive for meeting the victim.

On August 31, Isamu Ono, 54, was tried for the first time at the Sapporo District Court in Hokkaido, accused of commissioned murder. Ono stated that there was “no doubt” about the charges against him. The defense claimed that he was in a depressed state at the time of the incident, but the prosecution claimed that he was responsible for the crime, as he tried to erase the messages he had exchanged to prevent the crime from being discovered.

According to the indictment, Ono allegedly strangled and killed Ms. A, a female college student living in Otaru City, in her apartment in Sapporo in October ’22. He approached Ms. A, who was said to have been suicidal, saying that he had assisted her before. Ono also said in court that he really wanted to kill her.

FRIDAY Digital” reported in detail on the case of Ono in an article distributed on October 13, 2010. We would like to reproduce the article to look back on Ono’s selfish crime and his horrifying message (some parts have been modified).

[Joon] You’ve gone off the rails again, haven’t you?

Where is the path of a human being? I’ve gone off the rails again, but I’ve been useful…haven’t I?

On October 7, 2010, shortly after the woman’s death, the suspect posted a meaningful message on a social networking service.

On October 11, unemployed Ono was re-arrested for dumping the body of Ms. A., then 22, a university student living in Otaru City, Hokkaido. On October 7, a missing persons report was filed with the Hokkaido Police Department.

The signal from Ms. A’s smartphone was cut off near the apartment where Mr. Ono lived. Subsequent investigations raised the possibility that Ms. A was being held captive in the Ono defendant’s home. When police arrived at the scene, they found Ono in front of his house and questioned him about his duties. They found him carrying a folding knife with a blade length of 8.7 cm, so they arrested him for violating the Firearms Control Law.

Furthermore, when Ono’s room was raided, Mr. A’s body was found ……. As a result of the autopsy, it is believed that she died around the 4th, and the cause of death was asphyxiation due to being strangled. Mr. A’s smartphone was also found in the room. Upon investigation, Ono told the police that he had met Ms. A before the incident and that he had killed her by strangling her in the room. He strangled her to death inside the room,’ implying that he had killed her.

Ono stated that he and Ms. A “met through SNS,” but the details of how they met are unknown. According to a friend, Ms. A loved cooking and had a cheerful personality.

She had her sights set on becoming an occupational therapist in the future. She also loved to cook, serving homemade cakes and apple pies to her family. I heard that she had a cheerful and active personality and was trusted by many people.

I knew he was broken.

Ono, on the other hand, did not seem to have much interaction with his neighbors.

When we asked people who lived nearby, they gave us only weak impressions,” he said. However, he often boasted about the tattoos on his body and his knowledge of weapons. On the profile page of a social networking service that appears to belong to Ono, he wrote, “Former 2nd Sergeant” and “Former mercenary,” as if he wanted to show off his experience in the Self-Defense Forces. He also introduced himself as a “murderer” and “a kind-hearted reaper.

After October 4, the day of Mr. A’s death, a person believed to be Mr. Ono continued to post meaningful messages on SNS (original in Japanese).

He’s living his life as usual. He’s a broken man.

I don’t know if this is the right thing to do.

I want to help people who are struggling with death again.

About 10 months have passed since the incident. Ono, who is said to have called himself a “kind-hearted god of death” and committed the crime, is now being tried in court for his crime.
