The 33-year-old former senior managing director of Yamada Apiary “asked a girl who is active as a daddy’s girl to take spy photos of him,” an appalling criminal technique.

On August 15, Yamada Apiary, a health food manufacturing and sales company, announced the dismissal of its directors with an apology under the name of its president.

On August 10, the suspect, Mitsuo, 33, the second son of President Hideo Yamada, was arrested by the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department’s Community Safety Special Investigation Unit on suspicion of violating the Tokyo Metropolitan Ordinance on the Prevention of Nuisance and the Child Pornography Law.

The incident occurred last December. It appears that an acquaintance, an unemployed woman (27, sent to Tokyo Metropolitan Government in July of this year on suspicion of violating the Tokyo Metropolitan Ordinance on Prevention of Nuisance), had an acquaintance take pictures of several women naked in the changing rooms of a bathing facility in Hachioji City, Tokyo, with a smartphone. The women were taking pictures with their smartphones hanging from their necks in waterproof covers. A guest noticed the suspicious activity and called 110 through the facility. Police analyzed the woman’s smartphone and discovered the incident.

The suspect Yamada and the woman met on a social networking site “Papa Katsudo” about three years ago. Yamada paid the woman about 350,000 yen in exchange for sending her naked pictures. He then told the woman, “I’m tired of your nudity,” “Take lots of pictures of young people,” etc., and had her take pictures of him at a bathing facility in Tokyo at least twice other than the incident that was discovered. The woman apparently received 140,000 yen as compensation.

A total of 30 indecent images taken 10 times

Yamada admitted to the police that he committed the crime “with the intention of satisfying his sexual desires. According to his SNS, Yamada, who is said to have been married since December ’20, had been interacting with several “daddy’s girls” for 7 to 8 years.

The incident that Yamada was involved in was not limited to requests for voyeuristic photos at a bathing facility.

When we analyzed Yamada’s smartphone and computer, we found indecent videos of a then 17-year-old high school girl he met on a social networking service. Between February and July 2009, he had the high school girl send him a total of about 30 images 10 times, knowing that she was underage. Since the suspect Yamada stated, ‘I have had many women send me images so far,’ the police are investigating him for additional crimes.

Yamada was not only the executive director of “Yamada Apiary,” but also the president of an affiliated company, Yamada Honeybee Farm. He also supported a picture book business that interacted with parents and young children. Apart from his outward appearance, it seems that behind the scenes he was repeatedly committing crimes for his own sexual gratification.
