<p> The famous celebrity&#8217;s argument was not accepted in court.</p>
<p> On July 18, the Busan District Court in South Korea ordered actress Ha Na-gyeong (39), who was being sued for damages for adultery, to pay 15 million won ($1.5 million). Nagyeong met Mr. A, a man with a wife, at a party in Busan in December 2009, and became intimate with him in January of the following year. They had a sexual relationship, and Mr. A&#8217;s wife, Mrs. B, sued him.</p>

<p> Before I give an overview of the troubles, I would like to look back on Nagyong&#8217;s career.</p>
<p><strong> Nagyong&#8217;s debut as an actress was in the drama &#8220;Betsuranken,&#8221; which aired in &#8217;05. Since then, she has appeared in numerous films such as &#8220;A House with a Beautiful View,&#8221; &#8220;Touch by Touch,&#8221; &#8220;At First Everyone Is So,&#8221; and dramas such as &#8220;President&#8221; and &#8220;Fuyogak no Onna-tachi. She is also famous for her bold and revealing performances, and is quite a well-known actress in Korea&#8221; (Korean newspaper reporter).</strong></p>
<p> The fact that such a famous actress was having an affair with Mr. A, a married man, is quite a shock.</p>
<h2> She is the best woman I have ever met.</h2>
<p><strong> The relationship between Nagyeong and Mr. A ended after about five months, but they were quite close, including a trip to Vietnam. During their relationship, Nagyong became pregnant with Mr. A&#8217;s child, and Mr. A tried to divorce Ms. B, but she refused and the marriage continued, so she and Nagyong became estranged.</strong></p>
<p><strong> After leaving Mr. A, Nagyeong contacted Ms. B and told her the following facts: that she had been in a relationship with Mr. A; that she did not know that Mr. A was married; that she had gotten pregnant and had an abortion; and that she was not aware that Mr. A was married. She became pregnant and underwent an abortion surgery. &#8230;&#8230;</strong></p>

<p> At first glance, it would appear that Nagyong is the victim, but in fact that is not the case.</p>
<p><strong> I&#8217;ve O✕ed you two or three times a day and you told me I&#8217;m the best woman you&#8217;ve ever met. He said he had not had sexual relations with you recently. （Since (Mr. A) got me pregnant, it&#8217;s not humanly reasonable for you to take responsibility for the process. If you can&#8217;t manage your husband, then do it now!</strong></p>
<p> Depending on how you listen to the message, it could be taken as a demand for money to pay for the abortion. If the message is genuine, Nagyong&#8217;s attitude could be described as quite arrogant. Nagyong&#8217;s side accused Ms. B in court, saying, &#8220;If I had not confessed, Ms. B would not have been able to get an abortion.</p>
<p><strong> If I had not confessed, Mrs. B would not have known about [her husband&#8217;s] affair. But she blames me, the victim, for everything.</strong></p>
<p> The court did not listen to Nagyong&#8217;s argument.</p>
