National beauty Hikaru Takahashi is on the fast track to becoming a “new purist” with her fast-talking machine-gun talk and her love of muscles.
The "Heroine of Midsummer" in the entertainment industry
Will she be able to catch up with her rivals of the same generation in her first TV Asahi drama?
In late June, actress Hikaru Takahashi (21) was spotted on the banks of the Tama River filming “Halation Love” (TV Asahi), a drama series in which she will star that will air from August.
She was filming a scene in which she is riding a bicycle along the riverbed. It was a very hot day, but she was smiling as she filmed.
Takahashi started her career in show business after winning the grand prix in the “14th All Japan National Beauty Contest” in 2002. She won an audition of 200 people for the role of “Takase,” an adopted daughter of the Iyi family, in the historical drama “Onna Jôshu Naotora” (NHK).
Takahashi was cast in “School Revolution! (NTV), which led to increased exposure in variety shows. Her snappy Kansai accent on Japanese idols is a big hit, and if there is any doubt about casting, Takahashi’s name comes up. It is said that he was nominated by Johnny’s to be the heroine in the movie “Osomatsu-san,” starring “Snow Man.
In Takahashi’s age group, there are strong rivals in the “black-haired long purist” category, such as Kaya Kiyohara (21) and Nana Mori (21).
Takahashi has no major works to her credit, but she has her own unique strengths, such as her fast-talking machine-gun talk and her preoccupation with muscles. In addition, she is unparalleled among young actresses in that she can do both drama and variety.
With her dual roles in both acting and variety shows, she is likely to continue on the path of the new “purist.
