Defendant Nozaki was arrested.

‘Anyone could see she was a minor, so why leave her on the parapet of a bridge in the rain and wind ……?’

The victim’s father appealed to the defendant with tears streaming down his face–“Why did you leave her on the parapet of a bridge in the wind and rain?

On July 19, the Yokohama District Court (Kanagawa Prefecture) held the trial of Yuya Nozaki, 29, an unemployed defendant charged with assisting the suicide of a junior high school girl. The prosecution is seeking 6 years in prison on the grounds that he greatly influenced the girl’s decision. The defense is arguing for a stay of execution.

In September 2010, Nozaki kidnapped a suicidal junior high school girl in Yokohama, whom he met on a social networking service, for the purpose of indecent assault. The defendant is alleged to have taken her from her home in Saitama City, Saitama Prefecture, to a bridge in Sagamihara City by car and forced her to climb over the parapet.

Nozaki admitted to the charges against him, and during the trial he stated the following about his motive for the crime: “If you are kind to a mentally unstable woman, you will be able to get her to do what you want. He said, “I thought that if I was kind to a mentally unstable woman, she would take an interest in me and I could easily have a relationship or sexual intercourse with her,” and “I had met five to six women who had suicidal thoughts up to now.

FRIDAY Digital” reported the incident in detail in an article distributed on October 20, ’22. We would like to reproduce the article and look back on Nozaki’s selfish motive and abnormal obsession with women (some parts have been modified).

Deleted his account immediately after the incident

On the afternoon of October 3, 2010, I opened the front door and bumped into an investigator. I said, ‘Excuse me, I’m from Kanagawa Prefectural Police. He said his name was ‘Kanagawa Prefectural Police. I thought something had happened. There were more than a dozen investigators, and they had put a blue sheet down in the passageway and were taking stuff out of the next room. The investigation went on for about four days.

A resident who lives next door to the defendant’s house told the reporter, “On October 17, the Kanagawa Prefectural Police called the police to investigate the case.

On October 17, the Kanagawa Prefectural Police re-arrested Nozaki. On September 27, the prefectural police also arrested Nozaki on suspicion of kidnapping a minor for taking a junior high school girl, A, around with him. Security camera footage showed that the two had been working together.

On September 23, Nozaki took Ms. A by car to a bridge over a mountainous area in Sagamihara City, presumably to help her commit suicide.

There are houses nearby and heavy traffic during the day, but it was raining heavily that day; it is believed that Ms. A jumped into the river from this bridge. The family had reported her missing, so the prefectural police investigated the area and found her body on September 29.

When Nozaki was first arrested, he explained that he had only dropped her off at the scene of the crime because he had been told that it was near her home. Later, as the investigation progressed, he admitted the crime, saying, “There is no doubt about it.

Nozaki also stated, “I was told that the girl was suicidal, so I just dropped her off near the scene. I was looking for a girl on SNS who was suicidal. The one I was able to lure out happened to be a junior high school girl. He was using multiple SNS accounts. However, he deleted most of them immediately after the incident, and it is believed that he tried to cover up his connection with Ms. A. The judge’s decision came down on August 29.

The verdict will be handed down on August 29. The man who played with the girl’s fate out of selfish desire will likely bear a heavy burden of guilt.
