<p> It was a sad news.</p>
<p> On July 12, the TV personality ryuchell (real name: Ryuji Higa) was found dead suddenly at his office in Shibuya-ku, Tokyo. His manager found ryuchell unconscious. He was only 27 years old.</p>

<p><strong> We don&#8217;t have a clear motive for his death. However, on TBS Radio&#8217;s &#8220;Barbie and Oshinri Kenkyujo&#8221; broadcast on the 11th, the day before his death, he made a meaningful statement. I think it was last year. I had a very tough time. I wonder if I will be able to continue my career in show business.</strong><strong> It may have something to do with her divorce from her best friend Peco (28) last August and the slanderous comments she received on SNS and other media.</strong></p>
<p> FRIDAY&#8221; interviewed Ms. ryuchell in its July 19, 2007 issue. She talked about the difficulties of living in the entertainment industry and her determination to make a fresh start. We would like to reproduce the interview and look back on her struggles (some parts have been modified).</p>
<h2> I felt like I was breaking down.</h2>
<p><strong> I knew that I was invited to the show as a &#8220;silly character,&#8221; but when I expressed my opinions, people would say, &#8220;You are surprisingly solid. I was tired of that, and I felt like I was wearing myself out.</strong></p>
<p> Since that time, Ms. ryuchell has been a popular TV personality with her unique character. Despite her glamorous image, she candidly revealed that she was troubled.</p>

<p><strong> There were times when I thought about quitting TV personality and going back to Okinawa (where she is from). I felt like I was losing myself. I felt like I was breaking down.</strong></p>
<p> Mr. ryuchell was struggling. In an attempt to break out of his predicament and revive himself, he came to a conclusion.</p>
<p><strong> I thought that if I didn&#8217;t do anything, I would disappear. I thought about what I really wanted to do, and the answer I came up with was &#8220;music.</strong></p>
<p> In February 2006, he released his debut song under the name &#8220;RYUCHELL. In April 2007, he released his first album. In his own lyrics, he sang, &#8220;Let&#8217;s go forward with our hearts as they are. ryuchell was positive, saying, &#8220;I have more work I want to do.</p>
<p><strong> I want to do more and more work, and I want to expand my family. （I want to have more work, more family, more time with my family, etc. (omission) Even in love, if you love someone and you love each other, it doesn&#8217;t matter what sex or age you are. I want to convey that through my music.</strong></p>
<p> I would like to express my deepest condolences to the family and friends of Mr. ryuchell, who was a talented and versatile musician. We would like to pray for her soulful rest in peace.</p>
