The woman, who looks gallant as she straddles an orange mountain bike and pedals with a slight forward lean, is actress Juri Ueno (37). Next to her is her husband Sho Wada, 47, vocalist and guitarist of TRICERATOPS, whom she married in 2004.

In late June, Ueno and Wada enjoyed lunch at a popular Chinese restaurant in Shibuya Ward where there was a long line. After returning home on their respective bicycles, they headed to a nearby park, perhaps for a walk during their lunch break. They walked slowly through the park. But for some reason, they looked downcast and sad.

Ueno said, “Actually, my dog Boo, who I had since I was 20 years old, passed away. He later posted on SNS that on the day of this walk, which was the day after the anniversary of Boo’s death, ‘I saw him off to heaven. It seems that he was walking his usual walking course in memory of his beloved dog.

Ueno is a big animal lover, owning a dog and a cat. She must have been deeply saddened by the loss of her beloved dog, Boo-chan, who was like a member of her family and had been with her for more than 16 years. Wada must have been worried about her and accompanied her.
