Shortly after 10 p.m. in early June, nearly 20 women stood in front of the international arrivals lobby at Haneda Airport, holding their smartphones like cameras and looking nervous. Then many passengers spit out of their arriving flights from South Korea and come out of the gate.

Soon after, a man in a T-shirt carrying a small black bag and a white paper bag with a black jacket carelessly shoved into it came out, and the women ran up to him with yellow cheers and flashed him unreservedly. The man who turned a fresh smile without a trace of disgust at the unrestrained flashes was Kentaro Sakaguchi, 31.

He and his co-star Nana Komatsu (27) traveled to South Korea on June 4 to promote “10 Years to Live,” which became the top-grossing live-action Japanese film at the box office last year and was released on May 24. The movie was a big hit, drawing more than 80,000 viewers as of June 4, and the two were so popular that they were mobbed by fans at Gimpo Airport where they arrived, some of whom tried to give them gifts in person,” said a sports newspaper reporter.

On the 5th, the two held a press conference for the media, and Sakaguchi said, “It has been a long time since the film was released in Japan,

Sakaguchi expressed her joy, saying, “It’s been a long time since the film was released in Japan, but I’m happy to be here in Korea with Nana-chan.

I want to go to the departure lobby (where the car was waiting to pick us up)…” He even had time to ask. A female staff member, who was alone in the room with him, watched the conversation between Sakaguchi and the fan. As they approached the departure lobby, she said, “Excuse me, I’m sorry. As they approached the departure lobby, Sakaguchi bowed with a smile and said goodbye to the fans.

Sakaguchi, who until now has often played the role of a fresh young man, played the role of Yasutoki Hojo, the eldest son of Yoshitoki Hojo, played by Shun Oguri (40), in last year’s NHK historical drama “Kamakuradono no 13-nin” and a genius surgeon in the drama “Dr. Chocolate” in April. And in the drama “CODE: The Price of a Wish” (NTV) starting in July, he plays a detective who has lost his fiancee.

Sakaguchi’s presence as an actor has been increasing, but he is still a “fresh young man. Fans were thrilled with his response. Sakaguchi is in the groove right now, and his momentum seems unstoppable.
