Kumiko’s father Katsuhisa is said to have been at odds with Kumiko. He insisted on selling only to members, a practice that had been in place for a long time.
Otsuka Kagu’s headquarters in Ariake, Tokyo, where more than 1,000 employees worked. The company is now absorbed by Yamada Holdings and renamed the Otsuka Kagu Division.
