I would like to take this opportunity to inform you all. Papa and I have decided to part ways.”

On August 7, Misako Tanaka (63) updated her Instagram page and announced that she and Kuniyuki Fukasawa (56) of the comedy duo Take2 had divorced. As for Fukasawa,

‘It’s been more than 33 years since I met my dad, a college student. I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Thank you.”

She added a message of gratitude to Fukasawa, saying, “We met as college students.

They met when Fukasawa, a college student, passed an audition for a comedian training school hosted by Kinichi Hagimoto (82) and joined Asai Planning. At the time, Tanaka was the signature actress of Asai Kikaku. Later, the two moved to “Sato Kikaku,” which was independent of Asai Kikaku. Fukazawa became Tanaka’s valet there, which led to their relationship.

The agency said, “It’s absolutely impossible!

It was in the summer of 1992 that “FRIDAY” reported a scoop about their love affair. At the time, Tanaka was one of the most popular trendy actresses in Japan. In addition, she starred in three consecutive dramas that year: “Shiawase no seisaku” (Fuji Television), “Nemurenai yoru kazume wo kagete” (TBS), and “Junen ai” (TBS). In between these dramas, Fukasawa starred in the stage play “Natsu wo Hagemashitai” directed by Kinichi Hagimoto, which toured throughout Japan. Fukasawa also appeared on that stage.

After returning to Tokyo from that regional performance, the two went straight to Tanaka’s apartment. Fukasawa did not return to his apartment, but went home to Tanaka’s apartment, where he continued to go to work on a daily basis. The president of the office to which the two belonged responded to the magazine’s interview, saying, “I can’t believe it.

I can hardly believe it. Fukasawa is always with Misako shopping and going to the movies on my orders. Of course, I admit that we get along well. However, everyone, including myself, is constantly going in and out of her place as if it were an office…”

But even so, the two married in 1995, overcoming the opposition of those around them. The marriage between Japan’s leading trendy actress and a failed comedian with a monthly income of 70,000 yen was ridiculed as a “super disparity marriage” or a “100-fold income disparity marriage. Tanaka said the following about her marriage to Fukasawa on “Tetsuko’s Interview” (TV Asahi) on August 28, 2008.

I had a few boyfriends, but when someone said, ‘I’m going out with Misako Tanaka,’ I would get distracted. The most important thing was that he saw me as a normal person.

When Tetsuko Kuroyanagi (89) asked him about his proposal, he replied,

I said, “I proposed to her. I said, “Let’s get married,” or “I’ll marry you,” or something like that.

The same year that they were married, I proposed to her.

At the end of the year of their marriage, “FRIDAY” reported a “hand-holding amusement park date” between Kenichi Okamoto (54) of “Otoko Togumi” and Tanaka. However, since they had dated the previous summer, Tanaka was still single but in a relationship with Fukasawa. Furthermore, Okamoto had a wife, so some people said, “Was your marriage to Fukasawa because your marriage to Okamoto didn’t work out?” However, Fukasawa and Tanaka later had a daughter together. The couple’s relationship has been happy ever since, and for 28 years they have been referred to as a “loving couple despite their disparity in marital status. The fact that their daughter came of age last year may have been a factor in their decision to divorce. We hope that they will be active on their own respective stages in the future.
