Actress Riho Makise (51) is attracting renewed attention.

She is playing the role of the mother of the heroine, played by Minami Hamabe, in NHK’s drama series “Ranman,” which is currently airing. It has been four years since Makise appeared in a morning drama since “Manpuku” in 1919. She is an accomplished dancer and enjoys watching Kabuki.

Makise first came into the limelight in a JR Tokai commercial that aired in 1989. The pure story of her returning to her hometown for Christmas with Tatsuro Yamashita’s “Christmas Eve” as background music became the talk of the town.

Since then, Ms. Makise has appeared in many famous films, including the movie “Otoko wa Tsuraiyo” and the drama “Saiyuki. She is also a talented woman who has studied abroad in Canada and New Zealand.

FRIDAY” has been keeping an eye on Makise since right after she got her big break. She has been in the spotlight ever since her breakthrough: passionate hugs with her co-stars, car dates with her husband, who has an annual income of 500 million yen, and bright red dresses with open chests,……. We would like to introduce Makise’s aura of charm with her treasured photos.

Her husband is a famous fashion designer.

She hugged a man who co-starred with her from behind!

It was in July 1990 that I witnessed a shocking scene. It was at the launch party for the movie “Tsugumi,” in which Makise starred. Makise, who was 18 years old at the time, must have been relieved to have played a major role. She was excited from the start of the party. She hugged Hiroyuki Sanada, who played her boyfriend, passionately from behind.

For Makise, “Tsugumi” was her second movie after “Tokyo Kozora Irasshaimase” (Welcome to the skies above Tokyo). She was selected for the lead role. She must have been under a lot of pressure. I think she was relieved from the stress and acted out of her own accord.

Makise married NIGO, a famous fashion designer, in December 2008. In September 2004, this magazine witnessed their pre-marital car date.

After finishing work on a TV drama, Makise headed for a fashionable shopping street in Minami-Aoyama, Tokyo. Soon after, a shiny silver luxury car, a Rolls Royce Phantom, appeared in front of her. A man in a camouflage cap and T-shirt appeared from the driver’s seat. He was NIGO, with whom she was in a relationship at the time.

NIGO lived in a mansion with three floors above ground and two below. He is the designer who launched the brand “A-BATHING-APE” and led the “Ura-Harajuku boom. His estimated annual income at that time exceeded 500 million yen. She was always a fan of Makise’s and the two hit it off right away after meeting,” said a fashion magazine reporter.

Makise is happy with her husband and is fulfilled both publicly and privately. It is no wonder that Makise’s acting is becoming more and more polished.
