August ’07. Close contact with the CM shooting site. Even during makeup, he was smiling as the staff talked to him.

I want to play the role of Iiji Tanuma in my own way, respecting the image of Iiji Tanuma that everyone has. I hope many of you will watch the commercial.

The actress Nao Matsushita (38) made the ambitious comment.

On May 11, additional cast members for Season 2 of NHK’s drama “O-oku,” which is scheduled to air this fall, were announced. The drama depicts the Edo period’s O-oku (inner chambers), where the sexes are reversed, and Matsushita will play the role of Tanuma Ietsugu, an old lieutenant of the 10th shogun, Tokugawa Ieharu. The role is said to be that of a man who is working hard to eradicate a disease that has spread. Matsushita also commented as follows

I was wondering who would play the role of Iiji Tanuma, and I was very surprised to be given this opportunity.

Matsushita, who started playing the piano at the age of three and graduated from the Tokyo College of Music, is also an artist who composes music.

Matsushita made her debut as an actress in 2004, when the drama “Waltz of the Puppy” (NTV) was broadcast. In the same drama, she also showed off her superb piano skills. Since then, she has starred in several high-profile dramas, including NHK’s morning drama “Gegege no Nyobo” (Gegege’s Wife) and “Twenty-Four Eyes” (TV Asahi), as well as hosting music programs such as “Japan Record Award” and “Kohaku Uta Gassen”. She is a versatile actress.

FRIDAY” has been focusing on Matsushita since shortly after her debut as an actress, closely following the filming of a commercial, her seductive dress at Kohaku, and the unexpected expressions she showed on location for a drama. …… We would like to introduce Matsushita’s charm and true face with these treasured photos.

I want to have two boys.

It was August 2007 when this magazine closely followed Matsushita on the set of a commercial featuring her. In the commercial for the house builder “Aiful Home,” Matsushita played the role of a woman who is proposed to by the man she loves. At the time, Matsushita said, “If I were to live in a house in the future, I would live in a single house.

If I were to live in a house in the future, I would like a single-family home. I would like to have two boys. I would also like two retriever dogs.

On the set, the make-up crew zoomed in on her seductive lips, and there were times when she actively suggested moves to the director.

It was in November 2010 that the photographer for this magazine was struck with surprise. It was at the press conference announcing her selection as the host of the Kohaku group for the 61st NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen (Red and White Song Contest). When Matsushita appeared in a bright red dress associated with the same song group, a glimpse of her bosom was seen. In reference to the morning drama in which she played the heroine, she said at the press conference

I’m more than ‘geegee-gee’ to be asked to host a national TV show.

Matsushita’s brilliance as a musician and actress continues to grow. I wonder what kind of role she will play in “O-oku” that will captivate viewers.
