 The G7 Summit of the Group of Seven (G7 Hiroshima Summit) was held in the city of Hiroshima from May 19 to 21. One of the topics of great interest was the visit of Ukrainian President Zelensky to Japan. The &#8220;wartime leader,&#8221; who has remained in Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine, amid a full-scale invasion by Russian forces and continues to resist the invasion, attracted a great deal of attention with his emergency visit to Japan.
 This was President Zelensky&#8217;s second visit to Japan since his last visit in &#8217;19, when he attended the &#8220;coronation&#8221; of the Emperor of Japan. This is, of course, his first visit to Japan since the war began.

 Therefore, when President Zelensky&#8217;s visit to Japan was announced on the 19th and it was reported that he would enter the city of Hiroshima from Hiroshima Airport, there was much interest in the plane he would board and the vehicle he would use when traveling in Japan.  President Zelensky arrived at Hiroshima Airport via Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on August 19. On board was an Airbus A330-200 (aircraft symbol F-UJCT) operated by the French Air Force. It is evident that the flight was supported by the French government. When heads of state go on overseas trips, they often charter aircraft operated by their own air forces or those of their flag carriers, but it is rare for them to use a special plane from another country, as was the case this time. A journalist familiar with airplanes revealed the following.
 In mid-May, at a summit meeting between President Zelensky and French President Macron, President Zelensky expressed his eagerness to participate in the G7, and Macron is believed to have supported the plane by saying, &#8220;I want to cooperate fully with the G7. Just one year ago, last May, President Macron tried to get along with President Putin and President Zelensky, and it ended in a dud. I think the full cooperation this time was meant as an apology for that.&#8221;
 President Zelensky landed at Hiroshima Airport at 3:30 p.m. on May 20 and headed overland to Hiroshima City with his security vehicle, a BMW 760Li High Security, a special edition BMW 7 Series car with bulletproof armor.
 The BMW 760Li High Security was used as a security vehicle at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit held in Yokohama in 2010, and was also used to transport the heads of state at the G7 Summit in Hiroshima. However, the Mercedes-Benz vehicles seen at the previous Ise-Shima Summit in 2004 were also made in Germany. A photographer who has been taking pictures of foreign cars for many years revealed, &#8220;Why did they change from Mercedes-Benz to BMW?
 I don&#8217;t know why they switched from Mercedes-Benz to BMW, but I think there was a &#8220;sales war&#8221; in any case. The car looks no different from a BMW on the street, but the area of Zelensky&#8217;s forehead in the photo and the right side of his waving hand have a slight rainbow tint to them. I believe this is a heavily made bulletproof glass. If you were to take a picture of the inside of a normal car without smoke, there would be no rainbow tints, and the face would appear clearer.

 Incidentally, U.S. President Biden is driving a special edition of GM&#8217;s (General Motors) luxury brand Cadillac, known by the nickname &#8220;The Beast. Japanese Prime Minister Kishida used Toyota&#8217;s top-of-the-line Century sedan.
 On the evening of May 21, traffic regulations came into force and the Hiroshima Electric Railway tracks were blocked, and after a short wait, a convoy of vehicles led by motorcycle policemen emerged from Ujina Island. The center BMW in which President Zelensky was riding was not flying the national flag. As soon as I picked up my camera and focused on the back seat, I was able to capture him waving to the crowd. The citizens along the route cheered at this unexpected service.
 Afterwards, President Zelensky and Prime Minister Kishida offered flowers to the Cenotaph for the Atomic Bomb Victims in Peace Memorial Park, and then toured the Peace Memorial Museum. This was followed by a summit meeting between the leaders of Japan and Ukraine. Looking back at the photo of President Zelensky, who also charmed the Japanese, his expression remains hard. I sincerely hope that he will smile again as soon as possible.
