<p>Nanako Matsushima (49) is rapidly gaining recognition as an actress.</p>
<p>In the NHK historical drama &#8220;Dousuru Ieyasu,&#8221; which is currently airing on NHK, she plays the role of Eodai, the mother of the main character Tokugawa Ieyasu (Matsumoto Jun). In the Tuesday drama &#8220;The King&#8217;s Dedication&#8221; (TBS), she is increasing her presence as the mother-in-law of the heroine, played by Kanna Hashimoto.</p>

<p><strong> Matsushima-san originally debuted as a reader model for the fashion magazine ViVi. She appeared in posters and commercials as a campaign girl for Asahi Kasei and as an image model for Asahi Beer. The turning point for her was probably when she was selected to be the main character in NHK&#8217;s &#8220;Himawari&#8221; TV series in 1996. He won the audition of about 2,000 people and made a great leap forward as an actor.</strong></p>
<p><strong> Since then, she has been popular as a post-trendy actress. She has been the heroine in numerous hit dramas, including &#8220;GTO&#8221; (Kansai Television), the NHK historical drama &#8220;Toshiie to Matsuri&#8221; and &#8220;Kaseifu no Mita&#8221; (Nippon Television). <p>In her private life, she married Takashi Sorimachi, with whom she co-starred in &#8220;GTO,&#8221; in February 2001, and is the mother of two daughters.</p>

Since &#8220;The Inugami Clan&#8221; was screened at the closing of the Tokyo International Film Festival, Matsushima, who was appearing in the film, appeared on the red carpet. She was wearing a chic black dress, but because it was see-through, her breasts were exposed as she stepped out of the car.</p>
