Only Tomoyasu Hotei, who performed at the closing ceremony of the Tokyo Paralympics…

Although the legendary rock band “BOØWY” broke up in 1988, it still has many deep-rooted fans. Vocalist Kyosuke Himuro and guitarist Torayasu Hotei are charismatic figures.

On May 3, Hotei bit former drummer Makoto Takahashi in a Twitter post, causing a stir among fans on the Internet.

The trigger was a post by a general user on April 29 in response to reports of a ticket price hike for the Osaka-Kansai Expo to be held in 2013.

I can see failure from now on. We don’t need any more ‘Olympics’ or ‘expositions’ in this country.

The tweet was “We don’t need any more ‘Olympics’ or ‘expositions’ in this country. Takahashi quoted this as follows

Japan, a third-rate country, doesn’t need the Olympics or the World Expo anymore. I don’t want a silly festival that lasts only half a year. Everyone already knows who will profit and who will suffer. It’s not the Showa era anymore.

Hotei posted his own opinion. In response to this exchange, Hotei added

Don’t say things you don’t know anything about.

In response to this exchange, Hotei replied directly to Takahashi: “It’s true.

It is true that “large-scale corruption” involving former Dentsu personnel, AOKI, KADOKAWA, and other top companies was uncovered at Tokyo Oripara, as reported in the media. Furthermore, Pasona, a major temporary staffing company, had an exclusive contract to dispatch staff to the venue, and according to internal documents, received labor costs of 200,000 to 300,000 yen per day, while Pasona’s website for recruiting staff listed the hourly wage at 1,650 yen per hour.

This became a major problem because of the “astonishing 90%” rate of outsourcing. Mr. Takahashi may have complained about this particular interest structure. However, Mr. Hotei was the one who performed at the opening ceremony of the Tokyo Olympics. He probably felt as if his glory had been tarnished and could not stay silent. ……” (a person involved in a wide-ranging TV show)

Fans of the former BOØWY band commented on the exchange.

Hotei’s cool.

Fans of BOØWY’s exchange with Hotei said, “Hotei-san is cool.

I agree. I’m sick of the Olympics and the Expo.

I don’t want them to take away the stage that athletes aspire to.

I don’t want them to take away the stage that athletes are aiming for.

However, Hotei later deleted his “bitter” tweet. Then, on Twitter, there were comments such as

“Did you delete it? Does that rock?

Why did you delete it? It’s not cool.

Some general users are complaining about it.

While it is true that the Oripara and Expo ’70 will be covered extensively in the media, and that the number of visitors from abroad will increase, it is also true that someone in particular will benefit enormously and unfairly from the event. Public opinion is split down the middle.

Still, why did Hotei delete the tweet? ……
