 The first trial in the indecent assault case was held on April 3 at the Seoul Western District Court in South Korea. The defendant is Himchan, 32, from the idol group B.A.P.
 He is a graduate of the Korea National University of Arts, which is a very difficult university to get into. He specializes in traditional Korean music and has been featured in textbooks. He is also known for his love of cooking and was often reported in the media cooking meals. He is fluent in Japanese and often toured Japan and visited Japan&#8221; (Korean newspaper reporter).

 Why did this former top idol, who has many fans in Japan, end up in court as a defendant?
 Last April, he is alleged to have forcibly committed indecent acts on two women at a tavern in downtown Seoul&#8217;s Hannam-dong district. He touched the women&#8217;s breasts on the outside stairs and tried to kiss them. Himchan has admitted to the charges and plans to apologize.

 This is not the first time that Himchan has been accused of indecent assault. In June 2008, he was also indicted at home for sexually harassing a woman in her 20s, A.
 At a pension in the northern South Korean city of Namyangju, he allegedly groped Ms. A, who refused to &#8216;stop. At the trial, Himchan claimed, &#8216;It is true that there was physical contact, but it was not forced. He claimed that he had been deceived and, on the contrary, filed an extortion charge against Mr. A. However, on appeal, Mr. A was not convinced.
 Ms. A demanded that Mr. Himchan be severely punished. In February of this year, he was sentenced to 10 months in prison and 50 hours in a sexual assault treatment program.
