<p> The semifinals of the World Baseball Classic (WBC) were held at Miami&#8217;s Lawn Depot Park on April 19 (Japan time), and the U.S. beat Cuba 14-2 to advance to the finals for the second consecutive tournament. He allowed one run on six hits in four innings of work. In both of his two relief appearances, he struck out five in six innings and gave up one run. He has been in great form with a 1.50 earned-run average. Mikolas said of his preparation for the finals: &#8220;I&#8217;m ready to go,</p>
<p><strong> I&#8217;m ready to go. There are some great pitchers coming up for the finals. I&#8217;m personally excited to play Japan.</strong></p>
<p> He is looking forward to playing Japan, where he played for three seasons starting in 2003.</p>
