Matsumoto finished his final appearance on “Wide Na Show. In the program, he expressed his thoughts in his own words

I can’t deny that the show has become more and more stressful. ……

On the March 19 broadcast of “Wide Nasho” (Fuji Television Network), Downtown’s Hitoshi Matsumoto (59), who was hesitant to say much, revealed his thoughts, explaining the reason for his graduation from the program he had appeared on for about nine and a half years.

This magazine reported on February 23rd that Hitoshi Matsumoto was leaving “Wide Nasho. The article reported that the reason for this was that he had leaked “discomfort with the cutout article” to those around him. In fact, in his graduation address, he pointed to a sign that read, “No Kiritori articles allowed,” and said the following.

I’m sure that I became very tired and weary because of that, because the content of the articles and headlines of the program were written in a way that hurt those who saw them.

In the program, Matsumoto expressed his honest feeling of sadness, saying, “If we can do something about Internet news, there are things I would like to come back to, but it will never go away. A source in the entertainment industry reiterates the reason for this.

Matsumoto has long been complaining about the cutout articles and how it has made his appearances on the “Widener Show” a chore. Although he is now at the top of the entertainment world, Matsumoto has never had a desire to “make a name for himself in the entertainment industry. He probably couldn’t stand being in a position where he had the power to speak out, and then having that power unintentionally reported in the media.

Behind his decision to graduate this time was also his strong desire to “retire.

Mr. Matsumoto has been talking about his imminent retirement. In fact, on the February 24 broadcast of “Hitoshi Matsumoto no sake no tsumami ni naru hanashi” (Fuji TV), he stated that he would retire in two years at the earliest, or five years at the latest. Under such circumstances, he may have wanted to prioritize programs with staff members who had taken good care of him and with like-minded friends like Mr. Nakai (Masahiro, 50). In fact, in April, “Matsumo to Nakai” will start at the same Fuji Television network. This is probably one of the reasons why he decided to graduate this time.

At the end of the program, he said, “I think ‘Sanjapo’ (the back program) will win a lot in the ratings from next week. I think ‘Wide Naksho’ will be a crappy show without me,” Matsumoto concluded. With the show having reached a turning point, all eyes will be on Matsumoto’s future.
