Shohei Ohtani’s “Two Home Runs” and “Concerns” in the WBC Training Game
On March 6, Shohei Ohtani (28, Angels) of the Samurai Japan team started at third DH in a training game against Hanshin, and hit a home run in the second at bat in the third inning with two outs and runners at first and second. He followed it up with another home run in the third inning, and the crowd was awestruck by his incredible power.
In the third inning, Hiroto Saiki (24), the Hanshin pitcher, threw a 136-kilogram fork ball that was just above the ground. The crowd filled with spectators was more groans than cheers at the astonishing power of the pitch. In no time at all, “#home run” was trending at No. 1 on Twitter.
The crowd was more excited than cheered, and the crowd was in a state of excitement.
Shohei Ohtani is too much of a monster!
That’s a fly, isn’t it?
The comments were full of amazement.
Ohtani joined the team on March 3, but did not play in the two send-off games against Chunichi, and this was his first game after returning to Japan. He is still far from perfect, but this is his first game since returning to Japan, and fans’ expectations are high for his big homerun.
Both of them were not great hits, but they still made it to the stands. But it was just too good to be true, and I’m sure it will have a huge impact on the national teams watching this training match. There is a concern that when it comes time for the tournament, each country may not be able to compete with Otani properly.
“I want to see Ohtani in action as much as I can! (Sports newspaper reporter). The irony is that the fans’ desire to “see Ohtani in action to the fullest” may not be fulfilled because Ohtani is “too amazing.
