Ryota Yamasato, 45, of the comedy duo &#8220;Nankai Candies,&#8221; has been the talk of the entertainment world for his super luck. He and Shinichi Takeda, an early retired NHK announcer who is going freelance, have been selected as MCs for &#8220;DayDay,&#8221; a new program to be launched by NTV in April.
 Many staff members had not imagined that he would be chosen to be the MC. Previously, Ms. Yamasato had been distant from the staff, voicing her dissatisfaction with the program on the radio and in other programs. There were rumors that she and her partner, Shizuyo Yamazaki, were not getting along at one point.

 Since announcing her marriage to Aoi in June 2007, Yamasato has appeared in several TV programs, including &#8220;ReAL eSports News&#8221; (TV Asahi), &#8220;Saturday, What&#8217;s Up! (Kansai TV), &#8220;What&#8217;s Wrong with Being Awkward? (TV Asahi).
 The most significant is the adaptation of his life story in Nippon TV&#8217;s Sunday drama &#8220;Dare but Passion Is There,&#8221; which will start in April. The drama is based on Yamasato&#8217;s life, along with Audrey&#8217;s Masayasu Wakabayashi.
After marrying Aoi, Yamasato has become a flying bird. A &#8220;rare phenomenon&#8221; has also been happening around her.
 A number of comedians are using Aoi&#8217;s picture as a standby screen on their cell phones, hoping to take advantage of Yamasato&#8217;s good fortune,&#8221; says a source from an entertainment production company. The jealous Yamasato-san of the past might have been offended. However, now that he has become more rounded, Mr. Yamasato is not so offended. He is often asked to take a picture with Ms. Aoi.
