<p>The World Baseball Classic (WBC) will finally begin on March 8. Expectations are high for Japan to win the WBC for the first time since the second tournament in 2009.</p>

<p>It was in September 2006 that I discovered Ishibashi, the wife of Rakuten&#8217;s Matsui and an actress. The photo shoot for a fashion magazine was taking place on a street in Jingumae, Tokyo, lined with apparel stores. The temperature that day was over 30 degrees Celsius, but she was standing in front of the camera wearing a coat with a cool smile.</p>
<p><strong> Ms. Ishibashi entered the entertainment industry in 2006 when she won the Grand Prix in the &#8220;Horipro Talent Scout Caravan. She started out as a legitimate actress, but in 2012 she appeared in NHK&#8217;s variety program &#8220;LIFE! <p>She and Matsui had a steady relationship and married in December 2006, and reported the birth of their first child in May 2008 and their second child in October 2010.</p>
