It was found on a third-floor balcony and in a car parked in a coin-operated parking lot. ……

The body of the missing woman was found in multiple locations.

On February 23, the Iwata Police Station of the Shizuoka Prefectural Police arrested Yuki Tsuchiya, 31, a company employee in Numazu City, on suspicion of abandoning a corpse. The victim was Ayumi Ito, 33, an acquaintance of Tsuchiya’s who lived in Iwata City. Ms. Ito’s body was dismembered.

Ms. Ito had been missing since February 21, and her family filed a “missing person’s report” the following day. As the police proceeded with their investigation, they discovered Tsuchiya’s involvement based on the location information on his smartphone. Ms. Ito’s car was parked in a coin-operated parking lot about 300 meters away from Tsuchiya’s house.

When investigators examined the car, they found a large amount of blood and body parts that appeared to belong to Ms. Ito. A body in a bag was also found on the balcony of the third floor of Tsuchiya’s house. Tsuchiya apparently cut Ms. Ito’s body into small pieces and dumped them in multiple locations,” said a reporter from the society section of a national newspaper.

At a time when there is no family living together: ……

Tsuchiya, who gave a fresh impression to those around him (from his SNS).

Surprisingly, Tsuchiya was living with his family at the house where the body was dumped. He lived with his wife, two young children, and elderly biological father. Tsuchiya is believed to have brought the body home when the family was away.

Tsuchiya worked for an insurance company and had a good work attitude. According to neighbors, he was close to his family, going out on holidays. He liked baseball and belonged to a local team.

Ms. Ito, on the other hand, was a single mother with two children, we were told. Like Tsuchiya, she worked for an insurance company, and both were members of the same committee at the Junior Chamber of Commerce and Industry and had been close for some time. They told their friends that they had a boyfriend last year.

It is likely that Tsuchiya’s home in Numazu City and Ms. Ito’s home in Iwata City are more than 100 km apart and about two hours apart by car, so it is likely that the two were meeting due to unavoidable circumstances.

Tsuchiya admitted to the murder, saying that he strangled her with a cord. It seems that he and Ms. Ito had been in a male-female relationship and their breakup had become complicated. He also told people around him that he and Ms. Ito had been having financial problems. As a result of the autopsy, it is known that the cause of death was subarachnoid hemorrhage caused by being hit on the head with a blunt object and asphyxiation caused by being strangled.

The police have also interviewed Tsuchiya’s family members, and are investigating the suspect as a possible murderer.
