Bruce Willis announced in February that he has frontotemporal dementia

On February 16 (local time), his family announced that Bruce Willis, the American actor known for his many hit movies including the “Die Hard” series, has been diagnosed with dementia. Last March, Mr. Willis announced his retirement from acting due to aphasia. He said his condition had worsened and he now suffers from dementia.

Willis’ family released a lengthy statement on the Frontotemporal Dementia Association’s website, revealing that Willis has been diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia (FTD). The statement was signed by Willis’ ex-wife, actress Demi Moore, his current wife, actress Emma Hemming, and all five of his daughters.

“As painful as this is, I am relieved that we finally have a clear diagnosis.

In addition to stating that

âFTD is a cruel disease that many of us have never even heard of, and it can happen to anyone.âFTD is the most common form of dementia for people under the age of 60, and because it can take years to get a diagnosis, it is likely that FTD is more prevalent than we know.

he clarified.

Ms. Willis was born in West Germany. He became popular for his role as a detective in the TV drama series “This is Blue Moon Detective Agency” (’85-’89), and his role as John McClane in “Die Hard” (’88) was so successful that it became a series.

He also appeared in many other hit films, including “The Fifth Element” (’97), “Armageddon” (’98), “The Sixth Sense” (’99), and “Unbreakable” (’00). He has appeared in a number of hit films.

In his personal life, he and actress Demi Moore, whom he married in 1987 and divorced in 2000, have three daughters: actress Rumer Willis, Scout Willis, and Tallulah Willis.

He and his current wife, actress Emma Hemming, whom he remarried in ’09, have two daughters, Mabel and Evelyn.

Still, it seems that he does not want to disclose too much about the sensitive disease of dementia. What was the reason for revealing even the details of the disease?

And it is unusual for the Frontotemporal Dementia Association to make such an announcement on its website. The answer to this question was revealed by the family in a statement.

There is currently no cure for this disease, but we are hopeful that this reality will change in the future. As Bruce’s condition progresses, we hope that media attention will be directed toward shedding light on this disease that needs more awareness and research.

And.

Bruce has always found joy in life and has helped everyone he knows to do so. It means a lot to have that sense of care returned to him and to all of us.

concludes the statement.

Willis’ family wrote on Instagram last March

Our beloved Bruce has experienced several health issues and was recently diagnosed with aphasia, which is affecting his cognitive abilities.

He has announced that he is retiring from acting.

In March 2007, Canadian singer Justin Bieber announced in Vogue magazine that he had canceled 14 shows during his ’17 tour because he was suffering from depression. In March 2007, he announced in Vogue magazine that he had stopped 14 shows during his ’17 tour because of depression.

He also revealed that he was diagnosed with Lyme disease, an infectious disease, in 2008, and announced on Instagram last June that he was diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt syndrome, which has caused facial paralysis on the right side of his face. You posted a picture of your face with your right eye stuck open and revealed that you are doing “facial exercises and everything will be back to normal once I get to work.”(sports reporter)

Actress and singer Selena Gomez also announced that she underwent a kidney transplant in 2005 to treat systemic lupus erythematosus. On March 11, 2008, Tom Hanks, a famous actor who has won two Academy Awards for Best Actor, became the first Hollywood actor to report on social networking sites that he and his wife, Rita Wilson, had contracted a new type of coronavirus.

Mr. Wills and his family publicized his illness on the association’s website to raise awareness and research for frontotemporal dementia, for which there is still no cure. We applaud their decision and courage.
